But the Kurort and Sestroretsk were very close - fifteen, twenty-five, thirty-eight minutes of unhurried - sluggish - phlegmatic - aimless and unhurried walk. A magnificent view of the Gulf of Finland opened from the main hill of the Island. Being up there, George felt like a completely natural part of this landscape. Everything became real.
Many years later, he again found himself on the Island.
The island was the same as before. Sense something! Everywhere, the buildings of boarding houses, sanatoriums, rest houses, camp sites and other supposedly health-improving establishments were piled up densely and heaped up.
