Both games were a huge success in the global market and, most importantly, were awarded considerable praise from critics. However, their first online project called Warface, about which I will tell my story, was not so impressive.

From the very first day of its release on the wide screens of the Russian Internet, the multiplayer online shooter Warface made a lot of noise, which is not surprising - the mail.ru company took the game under its wing. And this means that the advertising budget of the project has grown by leaps and bounds. In the shortest possible time, hundreds of thousands of people learned about the game. They immediately began to talk about it, and while one half of the players praised the new project, the other half remained dissatisfied. What is the reason for this dissonance?

Like many, I expected a breakthrough from the game, which did not happen. Perhaps it was the high expectations that made many dislike the trendy shooter. We were promised a surprisingly realistic graph, but the graphics in Warface turned out to be mediocre. Yes, it fully satisfies the trends of the time, but it doesn’t smell like a breakthrough here.

The second reason for the dissonance, in my opinion, is, oddly enough, cool trailers and official screenshots, according to which many have the feeling that Warface is a chic game that smashes all competitors to smithereens. There is nothing surprising in the fact that after registering and downloading a multi-gigabyte client, the players immediately noticed that the real graphics are disproportionately inferior to the promotional trailers. The locations are very small, and with a large crowd of players, there is simply nowhere to peck a chicken. In chaotic battles, a real meat grinder is going on, and you will not have time to take a breath of air, as you will be riddled with ten types of weapons. There is simply no time to think about battle tactics, the main thing is to stretch at least a minute in this hellish hell. You need to be the most inconvenient target for your enemies, and for this you need to rush all the time, like crazy, from cover to cover, simultaneously emptying clip after clip in the hope of hitting at least someone.

And yet, the game has worthy features, which it would be a shame not to talk about in detail (for example, the presence of MILITARY EQUIPMENT), especially since hundreds of thousands of players from all over the world are already playing the game, and this probably means something.

Team play in Warface is a significant part of the gameplay, both in PvP and PvE modes. Putting a comrade in a comfortable position so that he can later drag you there or picking up a friend who has been knocked down by a shock wave is in the order of things in Warface. In PvE, you can’t do without a full set of classes, since you will have to shoot a lot here. In most cases, the process of fighting with computer characters is a walk through a series of control points on transport helicopters with the total destruction of frail attack aircraft, snipers, grenade launchers and very unpleasant "men with shields". Such a co-op always ends with a fight with the main boss. Particularly noticeable is the huge Thunder combat robot, to defeat which you will have to use the lion's share of bazookas prudently scattered around the neighborhood. Despite a number of serious disadvantages, among which the overly simple physics stands out, Warface is addictive, and this applies to both online battles and co-op. Many missed such a high dynamics and for the sake of it you can forgive a long loading of levels, and a stupid replanting system, and a couple of unnecessary modes. Well, given that the Kyiv project is completely free, then such claims can be called outright arrogance.
