What helps cycloferon. How to take cycloferon for the treatment of diseases of bacterial and viral etiology

Unfavorable weather conditions and a negative ecological environment adversely affect the resistance of the human body to viral infections. With the onset of the cold season, widespread epidemics associated with a decrease in immunity become traditional. To strengthen the body's defense against attack by viruses, doctors prescribe immunomodulatory drugs. These include Cycloferon, a drug aimed at fighting viruses and increasing the body's resistance to negative influences. It is also used in the treatment of diseases caused by bacteria. Assign a remedy for the treatment of immunodeficiencies, including

Cycloferon is included in the group of immunomodulatory drugs that produce interferon in the body. Its main active ingredient is meglumine acridone acetate (acridoneacetic acid).

When ingested, the drug acts in this way:

  1. It actively fights harmful microorganisms, prevents their further reproduction and reduces their ability to infect organs.
  2. Promotes the quantitative growth of immune cells that produce interferon in the lung tissues, liver and spleen.
  3. It does not allow the acute stage of hepatitis to become chronic.
  4. It relieves the body of inflammation processes, softens pain.
  5. It normalizes immunity in case of HIV disease.
  6. Fights germs and chlamydia.
  7. Increases the body's immune resistance in case of lung diseases and the presence of Escherichia coli.
  8. It has a therapeutic effect in meningitis and encephalitis.
  9. Reduces the chance of formation of malignant tumors, prevents further formation of metastases.

The positive effect of the drug is possible due to an increase in the amount and activity of alpha-interferon, which stimulates immune sites, depending on the invading pathogens.

A favorable outcome when using the drug is guaranteed, the risk of getting unwanted reactions to it by the body is minimized, provided that the medicine is prescribed by an immunologist.

The drug is approved for the treatment of diseases of children and adults.

According to the instructions for use, the drug in the form of a tablet is prescribed in the complex treatment of adults and children with the following diseases:

  1. Hepatitis HBV and HCV.
  2. AIDS virus.
  3. Angina.
  4. Flu.
  5. Infections of a neurological nature (encephalitis, serous meningitis, tick-borne borreliosis).
  6. Papillomavirus infections (HPV).
  7. Infections of the intestinal tract of viral etiology.
  8. Hepatitis HBV and HCV in acute or chronic form.
  9. Acute respiratory disease.
  10. AIDS virus.
  11. Chickenpox.

Injectable drugs are prescribed for adults with:

  1. All types of hepatitis and at different stages.
  2. neurological infections.
  3. Diseases caused by chlamydia (chlamydia) and ureaplasma.
  4. Articular pathologies.
  5. Connective tissue diseases of a systemic nature.
  6. Rheumatoid arthritis.
  7. Infections with fungi and bacteria in the chronic stage, which gave impetus to repeated immunodeficiency.

With influenza and SARS, symptomatic treatment is used along with cycloferon therapy.

The injectable drug "Cycloferon" is indicated for children only if they have hepatitis, human immunodeficiency virus and herpes infection. In the treatment of other diseases, injections are prohibited.

The drug should be used with caution. It has a number of contraindications indicated in the instructions for use.

These include:

  1. Use in the treatment of children under the age of four.
  2. Failures in the functioning of the liver (cirrhosis in the stage of decompensation).
  3. Individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
  4. The period of pregnancy and breastfeeding.

In case of thyroid pathologies, the use of the drug is carried out under the supervision of an endocrinologist.

Due to the risk of a sharp deterioration in health, alcohol is strictly prohibited during treatment with cycloferon. In the presence of acute diseases of the digestive organs (erosion, stomach and / or duodenal ulcers, gastritis, duodenitis) and allergies in the patient's medical history, the medicine is used with extreme caution.

How to take Cycloferon for adults and children

Cycloferon is produced in three types:

In case of infection of the genital organs, intraurethral or intravaginal injections of five milliliters of liniment once a day are carried out every day. Treatment lasts from ten days to two weeks. Cycloferon in the form of an ointment is compatible with other general or local remedies of this direction.
  2. Atypical urethritis. Five to ten milliliters of ointment is injected into the tubule that excretes urine. The dose is subject to adjustment depending on the severity of the disease.

Despite a small list of contraindications, availability at a price, Cycloferon should not be taken without a doctor's prescription.

In the treatment of acute respiratory viral infections in children, Cycloferon suppositories are used, which help to bring health back to normal in a short time. The child tolerates this type of remedy well.

The compatibility of Cycloferon with the usual drugs for curing the listed diseases is one hundred percent.

Their list also includes:

  • interferons;
  • chemotherapeutic;
  • symptomatic remedies.

With the simultaneous use of the drug with analogues of nucleosides and interferons, the effect of the latter is enhanced. And the manifestation of undesirable manifestations from interferon therapy and chemotherapy comes to a decrease.

Is Cycloferon compatible with vaccinations? On this issue, the opinions of doctors differ. But it must be borne in mind that in a number of diseases, for the treatment of which the drug is prescribed, vaccinations are contraindicated.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics.
Cycloferon is a low molecular weight interferon inducer, which determines a wide range of its biological activity (antiviral, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, etc.).
Cycloferon is effective against herpes viruses, influenza and other pathogens of acute respiratory diseases. It has a direct antiviral effect, suppressing the reproduction of the virus in the early stages (1-5th day) of the infectious process, reducing the infectivity of the viral offspring, leading to the formation of defective viral particles. Increases the body's nonspecific resistance against viral and bacterial infections.

Pharmacokinetics.
When taking a daily dose, the maximum concentration in blood plasma is reached after 2-3 hours, gradually decreases by the 8th hour, and after 24 hours Cycloferon is found in trace amounts. The half-life of the drug is 4-5 hours, so the use of the drug Cycloferon in recommended doses does not create conditions for cumulation in the body.

Indications for use

In adults in complex therapy:

  • herpetic infection.

Cycloferon increases the body's nonspecific resistance against viral and bacterial infections.

Cycloferon is effective in rheumatic and systemic connective tissue diseases due to the inhibition of autoimmune reactions, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.

The drug has an anti-carcinogenic and antimetastatic effect, by activating the body's immune defenses it prevents the formation of tumors.

Cycloferon antibiotic or not? It's not an antibiotic. The drug belongs to the group of so-called immune modulators. It does not contain interferon, but contains a substance that stimulates the production of the patient's own interferon.
