What ointments are there to get rid of papillomas? Choosing an effective ointment for removing papillomas

There are several ways to remove warts - medication, surgery, and traditional medicine. Various ointments for warts, both pharmacy ones and those that can be prepared at home, have proven themselves to be very effective. You will learn which ointment for warts and papillomas to choose from this article.

If the wart does not disappear for a long period of time, then you should contact a dermatologist who will choose the most effective treatment for you.

The effect of ointments against papillomas

The drugs, presented in the form of an ointment, have an anti-inflammatory effect on the treatment of HPV, destroying negative bacteria. The medicine also helps improve immunity, which is extremely important in the fight against tumors. As a result of the suppression of HPV activity, the tumors die off, after which they fall off the surface of the skin.

Viral tumors that appear on the skin as a result of HPV infection can be located in a wide variety of places. They can occur not only on the hands, face, neck, but also on the genitals of women and men. In these cases, you should immediately contact a dermatologist who will select the necessary drug.

Not all drugs are suitable for removing warts on intimate places in people, because... Some ointments should never be applied to the genital area or mucous membranes.

The treatment process has several features:

  • To successfully eliminate tumors, a comprehensive use of drugs is required. In addition to ointments, the doctor can also;
  • If viral formations are large, then hardware methods must be used to remove them.

The main effect that the ointment has on papillomas is the removal of the virus, as well as the prevention of its appearance.

The active substances contained in the drugs destroy the affected cells and stop the process of reproducing new ones. In addition to pharmaceutical drugs, ointments that are made at home are successfully used in the fight against papillomas. They can be used for legs and other areas of the body.

Homemade ointments for treating warts

You can prepare an ointment for warts at home from the products that are on hand. They have no less effective effect. When using the ointment, extreme caution should be taken, because you may get a chemical burn.

Garlic

You need to take a clove of garlic and grind it to a paste. After this, add a little Vaseline to this consistency (can be replaced with cream) and mix well until a homogeneous porridge appears.

The resulting mixture should be applied to the affected area of skin before going to bed.

The procedure should be done until the neoplasm completely disappears. Garlic can be replaced with celandine.

Vinegar

To prepare this ointment, you will need to prepare ingredients such as vinegar and flour. You need to take a small amount of flour and add vinegar to it so that you end up with a thick mixture.

After this, the mixture should be mixed well until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.

Apply the resulting mixture to the wart and apply a bandage on top.

It is best to apply it in the evening.

Onion

You can also use onion ointment to remove warts. To prepare it you will need to take onion juice and mix it with a teaspoon of honey.

Apply the resulting mixture to the wart, fixing it with something.

To avoid burning the skin next to the tumor with onion juice, it should be lubricated with Vaseline oil.

In lard

An ointment for removing warts can be prepared from garlic and rendered lard. To prepare, you need to take one teaspoon of grated garlic and mix it with four tablespoons of vinegar, as well as a teaspoon of melted lard.

The resulting ointment should be applied in the evening.

Review of pharmaceutical ointments for warts

Before starting treatment, you should determine. Only a specialist can do this. You should not self-medicate. The use of various devices to remove unpleasant growths is considered a last resort. It is resorted to only when other methods have not had the desired effect.

Basically, various ointments are used to treat warts. There are several types of them intended for the treatment of these neoplasms:

  • Containing plant components;
  • Medicines that have an antiviral effect:
  • The product contains acid.

Antiviral ointments for warts

Oxolin against warts has a number of advantages compared to other medications:

  1. It does not leave scars on the skin, which is extremely important especially for young girls.
  2. Does not cause any unpleasant sensations.
  3. This ointment is found in every home, because... its effect is extensive and its cost is low. However, you should understand that it is not always possible to get rid of a tumor in a month. Treatment may take a long time.

Ointment based on acids and trace elements

One of the most popular means of this group is. It has a detrimental effect on the wart. As a result, the growth begins to die off, and soon disappears completely. Its use may cause a burning sensation, which is why it must be applied directly to the wart so that the consistency does not get on a healthy area of the skin.

The main disadvantage of the ointment is that it cannot be used to treat condylomas, which are located in intimate places. Also, the ointment may leave scars after using the product.

The product has contraindications, so the doctor, not the patient, should prescribe the ointment.

Ointments based on natural ingredients

One of the most popular products based on natural ingredients is Stefalin. With its help, it is possible to effectively remove a wart without leaving your home

Stefalin can be used to remove warts located on the face, because it does not contain aggressive components and does not leave scars.

Ointments for warts on intimate places

Herbal gel for removing warts Panavir penetrates deep into tissues and also stimulates the immune system to remove the virus from the body.

This drug can be classified as both antiviral and herbal remedies.

The drug can be used to treat warts on the face and genitals. The ointment must be applied to the neoplasm, covering a healthy area of skin.

How to choose the right one?

Only a specialist can select a medicine for warts and papillomas, but not the patient himself.

This is not a complete list of drugs, as well as folk ointments, which can quickly get rid of problems such as warts and papillomas. However, you should understand that self-medication can significantly harm your body.

Papilloma is a benign skin formation. It is caused by the human papillomavirus.

The formations have different shapes - warts, flat spots, genital warts, growths in the form of bumps on the stalk.

Sometimes growths appear in inconspicuous places (under the armpits, in the anus, groin area, on the genital mucosa) and do not cause concern until a certain time, until they begin to grow and increase in size. Other neoplasms appear inside the body on the mucous membranes of various organs - in the oral cavity (tongue, soft palate, ligaments), on the genitals and inside the reproductive system.

When damaged, papillomas that appear can become inflamed and bleed, swell, and grow.

Attention! Damaged growths, thanks to the infection that has gotten inside, begin to increase in size and spread to undamaged areas. But the particular danger is that warts can degenerate, becoming malignant.

Any skin rashes or growths should be examined by a dermatologist or dermatovenerologist. The specialist will prescribe and take tissue samples for cystological or histological examination.

The only effective treatment for papillomas is their removal. For these purposes the following is used:

  • cryodestruction (removal of papillomas using low temperatures);
  • radio wave method (removal by radio waves);
  • electrocoagulation (destruction using current);
  • exposure to aggressive liquids (acids);
  • surgical method.

In the early stages of the disease, other gentle methods help. One of them is the use of ointment for papillomas.

The presence of papillomas, warts, condylomas, moles and spines on the body is the first sign of malignant melanoma!

We hasten to warn you that most medications “treat” warts, papillomas, moles, etc. - this is a complete deception of marketers who make hundreds of percentage points on drugs whose effectiveness is zero. They do not cure the disease, but only mask the symptoms.

The pharmacy mafia makes huge money by deceiving sick people.

But what to do? How to treat if there is deception everywhere? Doctor of Medical Sciences Anatoly Makhson conducted own investigation and found a way out of this situation. IN this article The doctor also told how to 100% protect yourself from melanoma, for only 149 rubles!
Read the article in the official source on link.

In what cases is the use of ointment for papillomas indicated?

Only a doctor makes a decision about the advisability of using certain medications for various diseases. Antiviral ointments do not act equally effectively on all HPV, in addition, before using ointments, you need to find out whether there are contraindications in the form of allergic reactions to the components of the drug. For some types of human papillomaviruses, only methods of removing growths followed by therapy with immune-modulating drugs help. In addition to treating papillomatosis, ointments are also effective against other skin diseases:

  • dermatitis and dermatoses;
  • ARVI and colds;
  • from all types of lichen;
  • from molluscum contagiosum.

Special ointments are also used as a prophylactic agent that protects against the penetration of viruses.

Important! You need to purchase ointments for HPV on the recommendation of a doctor. Only a specialist determines which remedy can cope with the disease in the best way!

Which ointment is recognized as the most effective? The best one is the one that is selected in the best way to eliminate the existing problem. In this case, you can take advantage of new developments and well-proven ointments from well-known brands.

Why is this form of release convenient? The ointment is easily applied to the tumor. Used within a week. Thanks to the targeted dosing of the product, it does not reach healthy areas and does not burn sensitive skin. In addition, the likelihood of side effects is minimized. Thanks to this property, ointments can be used to treat neoplasms during pregnancy. They do not have a harmful effect on the fetus, and in some cases protect against miscarriage. The mild action of ointments allows you to treat manifestations of papillomatosis in children.

Important! The form of the drug with which treatment for papillomas will be prescribed is selected by the doctor! The specialist prescribes the remedy taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient and the type of HPV strain that has affected the body!

In addition to ointments, in the treatment of papillomatosis, rectal and vaginal suppositories, tablets, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, traditional medicine (alcoholic infusions of medicinal herbs (wormwood, celandine, string, chamomile), decoctions and medicinal teas, moxibustion with celandine juice and garlic, and others are used ).

Attention! It is not recommended to self-medicate and select medications according to your own preferences. The effectiveness of treatment depends on the chosen remedy. Thanks to diagnostics carried out in a clinic, the doctor has a holistic picture of the development of the disease and the characteristics of the patient’s body. Only a specialist can select high-quality treatment and avoid possible side effects from its use!

The name of the ointment often indicates the presence in the medicinal preparation of an active substance that affects the disease. Also, very often, the name of the remedy indicates the type of HPV it fights (Panavir).

Antiviral ointments have different directions and are used both for the removal of papillomas and for post-operative or preventive treatment. What ointment helps against warts? Such ointments contain an active substance that eliminates pathological tissues of viral strains (prevents cell proliferation). They act more gently than other remedies. Aggressive liquids that contain acid often cause burns in healthy areas of the skin (Superchistotel, Solkoderm).

After treatment with ointments, there are no scars, scars or other damage. Ointments can be used to get rid of growths. With their help, you can remove warts on sensitive areas of the eyelids and neck. They are also used to remove growths under the arms. What product can be used to smear genital warts, how to treat them, or can they be removed in some other way?

Important! Growths in the intimate area are treated by removal. Ointments can be used after surgery as a supportive and restorative remedy!

Ointments differ in their composition and method of action.

Doctors' opinions on the most effective methods of treating warts and papillomas

The chief physician of Moscow City Hospital No. 62 describes his vision on this matter. Anatoly Nakhimovich Makhson
Medical practice: more than 40 years.

“I have been treating people’s papillomas and warts for many years. I’m telling you as a doctor, papillomas along with HPV and warts can really lead to serious consequences if they are not dealt with.

The human papillomavirus is present in everyone on whose body there are papillomas, moles, warts and other pigmented formations. According to rough estimates, 80-85% of the planet's population has it. By themselves they are not dangerous. The problem is that an ordinary papilloma can become melanoma at any time.

These are incurable malignant tumors that kill a person in just a few months and from which there is no salvation.

Unfortunately, in Russia and the CIS countries, pharmaceutical corporations sell expensive medications that only relieve symptoms, thereby hooking people on one drug or another. That is why in these countries there is such a high percentage of cancer diseases and so many people suffer from “non-working” drugs.

The only drug that I want to recommend, and it is also officially recommended by WHO for the treatment of papillomas and warts, is Papinol. This drug is the only remedy that has an effect not only on external factors (that is, it removes papillomas), but also acts on the virus itself. At the moment, the manufacturer has managed not only to create a highly effective product, but also to make it accessible to everyone. In addition, within the framework of the federal program, every resident of the Russian Federation and the CIS can receive it for 149 rubles.”

Ointments for papillomas - Viferon and other remedies

Medicines are divided according to their mode of action:

Antiviral:

  1. Viferon . The medicine has an antiviral effect and immunomodulatory properties. Therapy is carried out by applying the product to the affected area. Sometimes, when applying the ointment, slight redness and itching may occur.
  2. Acyclovir is an antimicrobial, antiviral agent. Used for various infections, including herpes.
  3. Cycloferon is an antiviral agent. Its second property is the ability to simulate human interferon and normalize the immune system, increasing the body’s resistance to various aggressive influences. There are many positive reviews about the medicinal properties of the drug. Copes well with HPV.
  4. Clareol is a good remedy for HPV. It perfectly removes dry tumors, helps not only to get rid of papillomatosis, but also to prevent cell degeneration.

Acid based products

  1. Salicylic ointment. It has a weak healing effect. Does not affect viruses. At the initial stages of the disease, it reduces infectious rashes.
  2. Zinc. Has a disinfectant and anti-inflammatory effect.
  3. Levomekol is an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial agent. They are good for treating areas from which papillomas have been removed.
  4. Clarinol – helps to increase the level of body resistance and strengthens the immune system.

Ointments based on natural substances

  1. Vishnevsky's pulp. Helps in the presence of extensive inflammation and suppuration that occurs when papillomas are damaged.
  2. Thuja ointment helps get rid of warts, prevents the development of pathologies, including malignant ones.

Other ointments:

After removing the papilloma, antiseptic ointments (streptocidal ointment) with an antimicrobial effect are used, which are applied to the skin up to 3 times a day.

A little less often, hormonal ointments are prescribed that eliminate inflammation and promote rapid healing of areas freed from papillomas.

Ointment for papillomas on the eyelids and other sensitive areas of the body

  • On the eyes - Panavir cream, tetracycline and oxolinic ointment. Get rid of warts on the sensitive skin of the eyelids and mucous membranes of the eyes.
  • In intimate areas– Viferon, Panavir, Oxolinic ointment. Used to remove growths on the head of the penis. Removes growths in these places without causing any discomfort.

These ointments are used to treat condylomas in the intimate area (labia).

  • In the anus area. To treat condylomas on the anus, Viferon and acyclovir are used.
  • Under the arms and on the arms - salicylic ointment, betadine, panavir cream.

Papillomas are small benign formations on the skin: they look rather unaesthetic, can be numerous and cause significant inconvenience to a person. It is impossible to completely get rid of papillomas caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), but ointment for papillomas will help reduce the rate of their spread and stop their vital activity in the body. Various effective ointments for papillomas are now available in pharmacies, each of which has its own unique effect and special properties.

3% oxolinic ointment is a fairly common remedy for papillomas and warts, the average cost is about 300 rubles, it should not be confused with nasal ointment, where the price is significantly lower, these are different things. This external agent has a powerful antiviral effect and its use leads to the death of existing microorganisms in the body, and also protects against the emergence of new ones. Oxolinic ointment for papillomas can be used on any area of the skin, even in intimate places.

Typically, a 3% ointment is used, which is applied to the affected area of the skin three times a day. The therapeutic course can last from 14 days to 2 months, but in especially severe cases it can be extended to 4 months. After applying the ointment, wax paper is placed on top. Many people speak positively about the properties of oxolinic ointment, but do not forget that this product is recommended for use as part of a complex treatment.

Viferon ointment for papillomas has also gained popular popularity. The active substance of the drug, human interferon, provides the immunomodulatory and antiviral effect of the ointment. Another distinctive feature of the product is the almost complete absence of contraindications, which is why the ointment is often prescribed to pregnant women and even infants.

"Viferon" is applied to the skin formations in a thin layer and at intervals of 6-7 hours, no more than 4 times a day. The maximum allowable duration of treatment with this drug is one week. It is worth noting that the effectiveness of treatment will directly depend on the speed of response to the appearance of the formation. Viferon works best at the stage of primary manifestations (itching, redness). The cost of the drug is about 50 rubles per tube.

Salicylic ointment

This is a good domestic product that is widely used in dermatology. Salicylic ointment is used to treat skin manifestations of various etiologies (dermatitis, dermatoses, urticaria, psoriasis), including the elimination of papillomas. The product may have different concentrations of the active substance in the composition (2, 5, 10 and 60%).

For papillomas, 60% salicylic ointment is used. It is applied 2 times a day - morning and evening. Since the use of this product can provoke burning and pain, it is not recommended to use it on the face. Salicylic ointment tends to dry out papillomas, but you should not peel off the dried growths yourself - they should fall off on their own. The price of the drug is quite affordable - from 25 rubles per tube.

Ointment for papillomas "Clareol"

Many experts claim that today this is the best ointment for papillomas in Russia. The drug "Clareol", presented in gels and ointments, is the only remedy that allows you to get rid of papillomas without leaving a trace and painlessly. The therapeutic course lasts 7-10 days. The product is applied to the papillomas three times a day, using massaging movements, trying not to damage the formation and its stem.

The application procedure lasts about 5 minutes. After 4-5 days, the first results are noticeable - the papilloma becomes covered with a crust and begins to “dry out”. Next, it should simply fall off without leaving a trace.

Alas, the drug “Clareol” is a very expensive pleasure - its cost starts from 1,600 rubles.

Vishnevsky ointment

In the fight against papillomas, Vishnevsky ointment ( Balsamic liniment according to Vishnevsky) can be called an effective, generation-tested drug. This ointment, effective against papillomas, has bactericidal, analgesic and antiviral effects. The main component of the product is ricin oil, which helps eliminate growths.

To get rid of papillomas, you need to apply the drug 2-3 times a day to the affected area, then covering it with a clean bandage. Therapy is continued until the formations completely disappear. Although the product is quite good, inexpensive (from 30 rubles per jar), and eliminates the appearance of papillomas in the same place, many are put off by its specific smell.

This drug is often used in antiherpes therapy, but Acyclovir ointment also gets rid of papillomas no less effectively. The active substance of the ointment is triphosphate, which penetrates deep into the cells of the formation and blocks their development at the DNA level. Against the background of the use of Acyclovir ointment, the following is noted:

  • subsidence of papillomavirus;
  • reduction in the number of papillomas and condylomas;
  • reduction of soreness of skin formations;
  • existing formations quickly crust over and fall off.

The ointment is applied to the affected area of the skin 5 times a day (with an interval of 4 hours), for 5-10 days. The cost of the drug is low - about 25 rubles per tube of ointment.

"Panavir"

Panavir ointment and gel are considered rather mild remedies for papillomas. The preparations consist entirely of plant components, the action of which is aimed at synthesizing the body’s own interferon, which increases the body’s resistance to viruses. During the treatment process, destruction is observed not only of the tissue of the formation itself, but also of its root.

To achieve this result, the external agent is applied to papillomas 5 times a day for 10 days. Upon completion of the course of treatment, the skin formations simply disappear. The price of the drug will depend on the volume of the tube. So, a small tube (3 g) will cost 150 rubles, while for a package of 30 g you will need to pay 800-900 rubles.

"Panavir" is a drug based on herbal ingredients

Levomekol ointment

The drug is classified as a complex ointment. The ointment contains two active ingredients:

  • chloramphenicol (antibiotic);
  • methyluracil (immunostimulant).

“Levomekol” triggers skin renewal processes at the cellular level, and also restores water balance, blocks the growth and development of bacteria, and has a powerful anti-inflammatory effect. Often, when using Levomekol ointment for 4-5 weeks, not the slightest trace remains of papillomas.

Ointment therapy is carried out by applying it to each individual papilloma. Naturally, it is optimal to carry out the procedures using a special applicator to avoid contact of the medicinal product with healthy skin. If Levomekol is used to treat the mucous membranes of the oral cavity or genital organs, then healthy tissues must be protected with a neutral cream.

To completely forget about the problem, you should do this procedure twice a day for 5-7 days. Afterwards they take a four-day break and repeat the treatment. Regarding the cost, we can say that Levomekol is a fairly budget-friendly product - its price does not exceed 150 rubles per tube of ointment.

The drug has proven itself wonderfully in the treatment of skin problems, both due to its effectiveness and its affordable price (from 25 rubles). The main active ingredient of zinc ointment is zinc oxide. It has the property of destroying proteins, and also has the following accompanying properties:

  • bactericidal effect;
  • anti-inflammatory effect;
  • adsorbent property;
  • astringent action.

Thanks to the latter property, a protective film is formed at the treatment site, reducing the permeability of the skin to harmful substances, which significantly helps strengthen its structure. Zinc ointment for papillomas is applied 2 to 6 times a day to previously cleansed skin. The course of treatment lasts from 3 days to 3 weeks.

Verruxin

You can find effective remedies for papillomas among foreign drugs. Thus, an excellent effect can be achieved using the Finnish drug “Verruxin”, which is based on salicylic acid. The product is applied once a day with a cotton swab directly to the papilloma. As a rule, the formations disappear painlessly within 3-4 days, but if necessary, the therapeutic course can be extended to 14 days.

This is a fairly safe product that is suitable for both adults and children. Nevertheless, the drug "Verruxin" cannot be called a cheap remedy - you will have to pay at least 1,100 rubles for a tube of gel. But no matter what remedy is preferred, you should not start treatment without first consulting a doctor.

The quality of goods in Finnish pharmacies has long been known. Each drug in Finland undergoes strict control, and counterfeits are excluded.

Production discipline in Finland is of an impeccable level. You can be 100% sure that the drug will give exactly the result that the attending physician expects. The quality justifies the price.

It is not always possible to find ointment of suitable quality in our pharmacies. But there is a way out: you can go abroad and buy the necessary medicine there. Many medicines in Finland require a prescription.

In Finland, there is a service “Prescriptions for Finnish pharmacies for residents of Russia” from the MedFIN medical center (Helsinki).

After an online consultation, a MedFIN doctor can issue a Finnish electronic prescription. It is accepted in any pharmacy in Finland. The service costs 48 euros.

Papilloma is a pathological growth that can affect not only the mucous membrane of the genital organs and oral cavity. It is often localized in delicate areas of the skin or in the flexure of joints. This disease can be transmitted from a sick person to a healthy person: both through contact and household contact, and in the case of unprotected sexual contact.

On the skin of the neck, most often, papillomas are multiple. At the beginning of the disease, they manifest themselves as a single growth, but such a location leads to their constant traumatization. This occurs when putting on or taking off clothes, or when wearing jewelry. And that is why they grow.

They can have different shapes, depending on this they distinguish:

A feature of all papilloma growths is their ability to grow peripherally. As a result of damage to one papilloma, an adjacent area of skin becomes infected. And as a result, several new papillomas appear.

If timely therapy is not carried out, the location of papillomas (in addition to the neck) may increase. They appear in the chest area, in the armpits, and on the face (especially around the eyelids).

The main reason for this pathological process is papillomavirus. Once it penetrates the body, it can remain in it for a long time without causing any clinical manifestations (up to 5 years). But as a result of the weakening of the immune system, there is an impetus for its development.

This usually helps:

  • Diseases in which metabolic processes are disrupted (diabetes mellitus, alimentary obesity).
  • Tobacco smoking and addiction to alcoholic beverages can also provoke this pathology.
  • Chronic diseases that have reduced the body's protective function.
  • Imbalance of hormones during pregnancy and during menopause.
  • Provoking factors for women are cosmetic procedures and visits to the solarium.

Consequences

Usually papillomas and warts cause only cosmetic discomfort. But sometimes they can:

  1. Get injured. If they come into contact with the collar of clothing or a scarf, they are torn off or rubbed, resulting in bleeding. This can lead to their infection and growth.
  2. Inflammation. This occurs after traumatization of papilloma. This process is accompanied by redness, swelling and pain.
  3. Degeneration into a malignant tumor. Cervical warts and papillomas can very rarely become malignant, but such pathology cannot be completely excluded. An alarming symptom of a change in the morphological structure of papilloma is considered to be:
  • Change in color (it turns black).
  • Rapidly hypertrophies (increases in size).
  • With it, the surface becomes wet, ichor appears, in more severe cases with impurities of pus.

If any of the above manifestations occur, you should not postpone your visit to the doctor.

Treatment

Therapy for this disease should be carried out comprehensively. This is due to the fact that external manifestations are a secondary sign of the pathological effect of the papilloma virus on the body. And in order to eliminate this disease, first of all it is necessary to neutralize the virus itself.

Therefore, antiviral drugs are prescribed:

  • Isoprinosine;
  • Alpizarin;
  • Lycopid;
  • Galavit;
  • Cycloferon.

In addition, topical medications are prescribed. These are ointments and creams for external use:

In addition to using ready-made pharmaceutical products, you can prepare ointments yourself, based on pharmacological preparations.

To remove papilloma growths use:

The use of pharmaceutical ointments does not always give a positive effect, and in some cases they can harm the body. As a result, patients often resort to using traditional healing recipes.

Also, to remove papillomas, ointment from the herb Celandine is used, watch the recipe in our video:

Warts are benign neoplasms located on the skin. Often they do not cause discomfort, pain, or inconvenience in people. But, regardless of whether warts are in the way or not, they must be removed. An ointment for warts can be used for this. Next, we will talk about how to smear warts to remove them and remove them from the skin, list the most popular names of ointments and determine which one is better.

Pharmacies sell various types of ointments for warts, many of which have a pronounced antiviral effect. But not all proposed drugs are effective.

The following types of ointments can be used against warts, papillomas, plantar calluses and other growths:

  • plant-based;
  • acid based;
  • with a pronounced antiviral effect;
  • for wound healing after removal of tumors.

Unlike cauterizing solutions, ointments for warts have a more gentle effect, but when using them it is also recommended to strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions. Typically, preparations of this type at home need to be applied to pathogenic tumors several times a day for a week or a month (depending on the type of skin growth and other factors).

Important! If you need to remove plantar warts, it is recommended to first steam them in hot water, which will allow you to remove them much more effectively and quickly using any suitable ointment.

Ointment for warts on hands

If there is an appearance on the hands, palms, forearm, elbows, then an ointment for their removal is best suited. It is imperative to get rid of such neoplasms - if they are caused by the human papillomavirus, then there is a possibility of them turning into a cancerous form with prolonged development.

The following products are most often used to remove pathogenic tumors from hands:

  • Aldara;
  • Stefalin;
  • Oxolinic or salicylic ointment.

All these drugs have a fairly mild effect on damaged human skin, while preventing harmful microorganisms from multiplying and spreading.

The listed medications are also well suited for getting rid of plantar warts on the feet, genital warts of various etymologies, and tumors on intimate places. If warts and other growths appear specifically in the intimate area, then before treating them with an ointment or solution, you should consult a doctor who can advise the most suitable remedy in your case.

Doctors' opinions on the most effective methods of treating warts and papillomas

The chief physician of Moscow City Hospital No. 62 describes his vision on this matter. Anatoly Nakhimovich Makhson

Wart ointment for children

Children's skin is much more sensitive and delicate than that of adults, therefore, when choosing an ointment for removing warts on the hands, feet, face, neck and other places, you must first consult with a doctor who will recommend the most suitable remedy.

Most often prescribed:

  • Oxolinic ointment. High-quality and effective ointment for warts (allows you to get rid of chicken warts, plantar warts and other types of tumors). The drug has a pronounced antiviral effect.
