Neverwinter group. Neverwinter Online review, pros and cons

Remember your feelings from playing your favorite game. How did you feel then? The satisfaction of knowing that the last enemy has been defeated, the last riddle has been solved, the last obstacles have been overcome. The last thing is done and then only the end of the game, the final video, credits about the developers and... that's all. The game you put your heart into is over. Even those games that allow you to play after finishing the final quest are still finite. And this is an inexorable rule, because everything can be studied. I think there is no need to explain that infinity does not exist. What follows after finishing the game? And this is followed by a logical question - does the game have a sequel? And if there are additions, a new part of the game or something like that, you can say that you are in luck. You will still be able to live in the amazing world that has attracted you so much.

Today we will remember not all the games we have completed, but specific masterpieces united by the universe. Even the developers of some games in the series are different, but everything was implemented completely in the spirit of this universe. I think you have already guessed that we are talking about the Forgotten Realms universes and the Dungeon & Dragons gaming system. Dungeons and Dragons, yes. The most famous D&D gaming system, which is used to build some of the best RPG games in history. Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate are the founding fathers of a whole family of games, which includes numerous additions, continuations and expansions. Then there was the great Neverwinter Nights, which radically changed the idea of computer D&D. The second part, even more beautiful and advanced, using a new edition of the rules, generally delighted crowds of fans. But... That was all over. We could only be content with various amateur mods and wait for the continuation. Which, by the way, no one promised. So we just hoped and waited.

As it turns out, we weren’t waiting in vain! Today we see the rebirth of the game into something more than a simple masterpiece. And even though a masterpiece, by definition, cannot be simple, we see before us something unimaginable. We see before us the expansion of the universe, the expansion of boundaries and boundaries, the increase in the world population. We see before us an online game called Neverwinter that threatens to eclipse its predecessors, even if it is not intended for the many thousands of players who would play it all together. But we will deal with all the details of the game a little later. For now, I want to say that Neverwinter Online is fully consistent with the spirit of all past games. You will indeed find yourself in the same universe, in familiar areas, with familiar gameplay... But you will appreciate this yourself. And we are starting.

Historical information for ENT specialists

Almost a century has passed since the time when the Witchcraft plague swept across Faerun, changing the contours of the lands and decimating crowds of inhabitants. Huge cities could not withstand it, empires ceased to exist, the population is gradually recovering from all this. And only the ruins remained suitable for life, on which the old life was gradually being revived.

Everyone thought that Neverwinter, the largest, richest and most beautiful city in the North, was under the constant care of the gods. Pestilence seemed to pass by, catching the city with the very edge of his cloak. And this despite the fact that the entire Coast of Swords was destroyed! But fate decided to take its toll. The volcano awakened, spewing out clouds of ash and waves of lava that swallowed the city. Today, Neverwinter is slowly rebuilding itself, regaining its greatness. But this would not have happened without Neverember, Lord of Waterdeep. He became the patron of the city and sent out a cry among the adventurers, relying on their strength and enthusiasm. He also hopes that for his services to the city one day he will receive the crown at his disposal. But evil will still lurks in the darkness, so the heroes cannot be left without a cause worthy of their blades.

Races Neverwinter Online. Heroes Incarnate

So, there are seven main races and two additional ones in the game. Additional races are only available to players who have purchased one of the two Founders Packs. But I will say right away that race, for the most part, provides such negligible advantages that it should not even be considered as some kind of significant problem in the balance. However, you will understand this yourself. As well as who is better to play, if we talk about classes. But first things first.

Human- the most common and universal race of all. Humans are the majority in Faerun. They adapt well to any conditions and survive under any circumstances. They are not tied to morality or any customs. They are everywhere. People have the following bonuses: Universal Defense (Increases Defense by 3%), Characteristic Values (Adds 2 units to any of the characteristics), Heroic Effort (Three heroic points as a gift at levels 10, 15 and 20, respectively).

Half-elf- a cross between an elf and a human, which became a separate race. Both peoples were too loving for something new not to come out of this. They often boast of the positive qualities of both races. Has the following racial bonuses: Amateur (Increases any non-class stat by one), Stat Scores (You get +2 to Stamina and +2 to Charisma/Wisdom of your choice), Tendency to Success (+1% parry, crit and gold gained ).

Forest Elf- forest dwellers who do not recognize any authority over themselves. Ideal silent shooters, ready to kill anyone who crosses their borders. Once you cross a border invisible to others, you will find yourself under the threat of immediate death. Not very friendly creatures that prefer small arms. They have the following racial bonuses: Elven Accuracy (+1% crit), Attribute Values (+2 to agility and +2 to intelligence/wisdom of your choice), Wild Walk (10% resistance to all slows).

Half-orc- a cross between an orc and a human, incorporating all the contradictory tendencies of both humans and orcs. They are distinguished by great physical strength and excellent endurance. Excellent warriors, ready to rush into any mess where they can swing an ax or fists. They have the following racial bonuses: Furious Attack (critical damage increased by 5%), Attribute Value (+2 to agility and +2 to strength/endurance of your choice), Swift Charge (When starting a fight, you gain 10% speed for 3 seconds ).

Tieflings- a cross between a man and a devil. A separate race that constantly receives reminders of its past. Born wizards, they inhabit all of Faerûn and clusters of them can clearly indicate different historical periods of the invasion of devils into human settlements. They have the following racial bonuses: Blood Hunt (Your damage to targets with less than half life is increased by 5%), Attribute Values (+2 to Charisma and +2 to Stamina/Intelligence), Infernal Wrath (When you are hit, there are 10 % chance that the enemy's power will decrease by 5% for 5 seconds).

Halfling- a race famous for its short stature, love of profit, excellent ingenuity and nerves of steel. Preferring marshy areas, they constantly move. Only this race is capable of spreading rumors like this due to their constant migrations. They have the following racial bonuses: Agile reaction (+3% parry), Attribute value (+2 to agility and +2 to charm/endurance of your choice), Bravery (10% resistance to all types of control).

Dwarf- Stocky inhabitants of Faerûn, dwarves believe they are related to rock and steel. There is some truth in this, since dwarves are the most vigilant and resilient among other races. They have the following racial bonuses: Self-Defense (20% knockback and knockback resistance), Stat Scores (+2 stamina and +2 strength/wisdom of your choice), Unshakable Determination (Delayed damage reduced by 10%).

Drow- residents of the city of Menzoberranzan, who grew up among oath-breaking, betrayal and deceit. The great houses that rule the city are constantly vying for power, trying to gain a position of leadership and win the leniency of Lolth, the great spider queen. Tired of constant strife, some drow come to the surface and try to live here. They have the following racial bonuses: Fairy Fire (When attacking, there is a 5% chance that the enemy will lose strength and defense by 6% for 4 seconds), Attribute values (+2 to agility and +2 to charm/wisdom of your choice), Trance (time regeneration near bonfires has been doubled).

Neverwinter Online Classes - Choose Your Path in Life

The game features several classes, each of which will give you a special play style, completely unusual gameplay and will determine your entire gaming life. There are currently six classes in total, but one more is in development. Therefore, for now we will look at the main six classes.

Guardian Warrior- a classic tank in the game. He is fluent in various defensive techniques, protecting himself and his group. Always ahead of the group, ready to take the first blow. His shield is like a fortress wall, and his sword strikes all enemies without missing a beat. Has the following class advantages: Guardian (All frontal damage initially removes your defense indicator, stun and stun do not work), Forced Hatred (Provoke all nearby enemies), Fighter Recovery (You convert almost all damage dealt into health), Dungeon Knowledge.

Fearless Warrior- classic damage dealer, ready to deal tons of damage to the enemy. A two-handed sword, heavy armor, and terrifying fury will help you overcome any obstacles. A fearless warrior can also protect his allies with some effectiveness. Has the following class advantages: Throw (You increase your speed to catch up with any evading target), Punishing onslaught (Dash forward through a crowd of enemies, causing significant damage to them), Steel Avalanche (Warrior jumps and knocks down all opponents with a shock wave), Dungeon knowledge.

Hunter Pathfinder- This class is a mixture of a melee fighter and a ranged fighter. Combining the latest innovations in technological progress and primitive magic, they prefer a bow or two-handed weapons. Terrible opponents, capable of preventing the enemy from getting close enough to strike. They have the following class advantages: Choice of distance (You choose whether you fight in melee or ranged combat, which determines your skills), Interfering shot (Immobilizes the enemy), Interfering blow (The enemy is constantly slowed down), Unity with nature).

Wizard Overlord- a classic magician in the game who controls different types of energy, directing them at the enemy. They have the following class advantages: Magic Arrow (Attack the enemy from a distance, the third hit will strengthen you for a while), Frost Strike (Freeze the enemy, causing significant damage), Black Hole (Collects all enemies in a huge area into the center of the hole), Secret Knowledge.

Devout Cleric- the only healer in the game that heals himself and his allies. Despite his healing qualities, he can be a terrible fighter, attacking the enemy with holy magic. One of the most difficult classes. Has the following class advantages: Astral Change (Attack and healing change at your request), Healing Word (Heals you and your target ally), Fire Strike (Pillar of sacred flame, throwing all enemies aside), Theology.

Dodger- such a thief, ready to become an assassin at his first request. Kills from the shadows, disorients the enemy, attacking with two daggers. Constant attacks cause enormous damage to the enemy. Has the following class advantages: Stealth (go into the shadows and attack the enemy from behind, causing colossal damage), Evasion and Decoy (Leave your double, who is attacked by all opponents), Bloodbath (attack all enemies while you are attacked impossible), Sleight of hand.

But you can read all this description on the official website or when creating a character. In my opinion, it is much more important to tell personal impressions about the classes, which in the future will help you decide on the most interesting path of development for you. It’s worth saying that I tried almost all the classes and they were all made in surprisingly diverse ways. The strange thing is that only a guard warrior can be a full-fledged tank, and no other class is capable of performing all the necessary functions to protect the group. The Fearless Warrior, although listed as a possible semi-tank, can replace a full-fledged tank only with an overgear. Or, alternatively, at a low level. If there is no guard, you may not even begin your journey into a difficult dungeon. Therefore, we have, in fact, an irreplaceable class.

Next in the group, a Healer is required. As you understand, only a cleric can perform this role. Basically, with a very competent group, you can complete dungeons using healing potions. But the amount of money that is spent on this is clearly not worth the effort. Now let's think about the fact that potions have a cooldown time in battle and we get a second mandatory role in the group. In total, you will have to have both a Guardian Warrior and a Cleric in your group in order to be able to complete difficult dungeons. The dungeons are designed for five people. The roles of tank and healer are firmly occupied for us; there are still places for three damage-dealing characters. In principle, you can hire anyone here. But while going through the dungeon, you will face another difficulty - a strong attack from large monsters. Hence the conclusion - we must not let them attack. Those. use controller.

The best controller in the game is the wizard overlord. Although everyone is accustomed to the stereotype that magicians in games deal only the best damage and are not needed for anything else, this is not the case at all. The mage does decent damage, but he is by no means the best. It will be useful to your group when you need to ease the pressure on the group. Control and strong area attacks make the wizard overlord an almost indispensable member of the group. Although if there are no difficulties with groups, you can neglect it. On the other hand, who then should give the magic spheres that fall from opponents?

Now let's look at two more classes - the rogue and the hunter. Both classes wear different armor and different weapons. And, in fact, they do not compete with each other in clothing. But they are quite competitive in terms of primacy in damage caused. Often an archer takes the lead in terms of damage for the entire dungeon due to trash, of which there are simply tons. But I think there is no point in measuring all the damage for a dungeon, since trash can be cleared with any composition with your eyes closed. And the main indicator has always been and is damage to the boss, since this is the apogee of any dungeon.

Here, in my opinion, the trickster can give the hunter a slight head start. The trickster's attack, which allows him to avoid the boss's special abilities that affect the territory (in simple terms - AoE), allows him to use his entire arsenal. With a good tank, the rogue does not take damage and spends half the battle in stealth, which doubles his damage. Thus, we simply have a machine for killing one target, which, when used correctly, is immune to AoE and which can shamelessly inflict enormous damage on one target.

Features of game mechanics and combat

Firstly, it is worth immediately noting one feature of the game. Neverwinter Online doesn't have, and never did, have cumbersome panels to use your abilities. Looking back at most other games, we could see up to 40 (and in some games more) slots for spells, abilities, skills and other things that need to be done. Forget about it. Eight buttons. This is the number of actively used skill slots in the game. But before we deal with them, we should divide the skills themselves into types.

Daily Skills- This is a spell with a very long recovery time and conditions. This is such an ultimatum argument. Placed on buttons 1 and 2 (in the form of a circle). To restore this skill, you will have to beat enemies for a long, long time, accumulating action points. When the indicator in the center of the screen is full, the daily skill will be ready to use.

Combat skills- having a relatively short (5 to 30 seconds) recovery period. These are the same spells and cooldowns that you are used to using in most games. It is noteworthy that you can only use 3 of these spells at a time, placing them in the Q, E, R slots.

Free Skills- the skills you will use most often. They have no recovery time and are constantly used in one form or another. They are displayed on LMB and RMB respectively. They are the ones who in most cases give you the largest number of Action Points for using the Daily skill.

In total, we have listed seven buttons. The eighth button - TAB - will give you a class-specific ability. The overlord wizard will use a protective sphere, the trickster rogue will go into stealth mode, the cleric will switch between attacking and healing... And each class will be special.

Having dealt with the system of active abilities, it is impossible not to mention the development tree. A set of talents, active skills of all types and passive skills that helps you decide on your current play style and the needs for your current game actions. Choose the skills that will be needed right now. Choose their combinations wisely so that one skill complements the other. You'll end up with great combinations of abilities that can lead your group to victory.

In addition to active abilities, there are also passive skills. Everything is a little simpler here. You choose what exactly you want to improve and... do it. Accordingly, choosing your playstyle and maximizing your effectiveness. We will talk about options for different classes in other articles, but for now let’s move on. You will be able to increase your crit, your health, speed, the duration of any skills... Everything that passively affects you. But be careful! To reset talents, you will have to purchase an expensive item!

Currency in the game. Payment types

Where there is play, there is trade. And where there is trade, there are also types of payment that can be applied. There are three types of currencies in Neverwinter Online, each of which we will examine in detail, since many players are concerned about the payment system in the game and the donation option. And donation should be inevitable, because we are not playing a game with a subscription, but an F2P project. I dare to assure you that donation in Neverwinter Online is the most gentle. I haven't seen better options almost anywhere. But we'll start with currency.

Gold- currency for most traders. You get things and junk and sell them to a merchant. For this you get copper, silver, gold. One gold coin contains one hundred silver coins. One silver coin contains one hundred copper coins. A standard well-known system that has been tested in many projects. This currency will be used to buy potions, ingredients for professions, scrolls - everything that most merchants have.

Astral Diamonds- auction currency. We can say that this is the main currency of the game. The auction is available only for it; you will sell and buy things there exclusively for diamonds. How are they earned? Praying to the deity every hour will give you some diamonds. Completing daily tasks, chests, professions - earning astral diamonds is quite simple. In addition, there is an exchange for Astral Diamonds. There you can convert them into a third currency, Zena. And vice versa, respectively.

Xena- the equivalent of real money in the game. The ratio at the time of writing was 1 to 3. That is. for 1 ruble you can buy three Zen. Once again I draw your attention. Zen can be converted on the exchange in one or the other direction. This means that you can get all those things that are initially available exclusively for real money, without investing a penny from your budget. Only time, everything else you can get in the game.

Now let's look at what you can buy for real money. It should be said right away that all those who want to buy the Sword of a Thousand Victories and kill all enemies with one click may not even hope for this in Neverwinter Online. For real currency you can get the largest bags in the game (useful for not having to run to the merchant too often). During my leveling up, I never once thought that my basic bags, which are obtained through the quest, are not enough for me. You can also buy interesting mounts and companions for real currency. Again, purely cosmetic differences. You can purchase additional cells from the bank or change your appearance. This does not affect the level of play of each specific individual. Thus, we can conclude that donating in Neverwinter Online has absolutely no effect on the gameplay. Makes it a little more convenient, but doesn't have a significant impact.

Atmosphere in Neverwinter Online

And the last thing I wanted to tell you about the game in general. As a fan of the entire NwN series, Baldur's Gate and other DnD projects, and the entire DnD system as a whole, I expected that the developers would not be able to convey the atmosphere of a single-player computer game in Neverwinter Online. It’s difficult to feel like the main character in a world where in which thousands of players are simultaneously heroic. Therefore, accordingly, I was somewhat skeptical. Unfortunately, the experience of creating online games from other companies based on well-known series did not lead to anything good in my opinion.

When I came to Neverwinter Online, I saw that the game was made in a completely unusual way. It’s as if you don’t even feel like you’re just a powerless pawn in a game of thousands of players. The atmosphere is adjusted to the smallest detail. Initially, I thought that I had installed just another game in the NwN series, it was so interesting to me. The process of character creation, the first steps and training in the world, the first killed enemies - all this made me think more and more that I was back in the good old D&D projects. However, today we have the opportunity to get a new good D&D project, and this says a lot.

To summarize, I am ready to give Neverwinter Online the highest rating in all respects. Play it, remember the places you visited in other games, meet old and new heroes. Hurry up, and you will be able to take a leading position in this complex world, where only a character strong in spirit and body can exist with dignity.

Neverwinter - The most famous city in the universe Forgotten Realms, it is located on its northern side at the mouth of the Magic River. His Greatness amazed the guests, and the players of the MMORPG Neverwinter were left in a daze. Everyone froze in anticipation to walk along winding, noisy alleys, through market squares, where in their shadow one could find new friends, or clash swords with old enemies. The designer's idea was to make the city as cozy and attractive as possible. For whoever entered its walls remained here forever. However, the game impresses not only with the beauty of its architecture. If you do not take into account the outdated graphics, Neverwinter is an MMORPG as an example to others, with an interesting plot, many finds and various innovations:

D&D gameplay - The game is not constrained by restrictions, but at the same time it forces you to think about any action.

Non-target system - Introduced for dynamic combat, now you need to aim at the enemy (or your partner, if you are a healer), and with a successful jump, roll, or block, you can easily evade the enemy’s attack.

Form of “promotions” - The standard base of elements - single, group dungeons and quests, has undergone changes, now everything here takes place in the form of “promotions”: for example, we are first offered to do crafting, go through the dungeon in an hour, then switch to PvP. And all this, of course, for additional bonuses. This prevents players from getting stuck and tired of the monotony.

Session - The developers took your time seriously, there were many quests, single dungeons from the “just came to play for half an hour” category

Elements from The Old Republic and EVE Online. - Crafting has also been added, in which elements are added where the hero hires workers, and they do it while you go about your business. perform tasks for you.

Leadership system - A special profession that reveals the ability to lead mercenaries; they are looking for valuable things for you such as gaming experience, money, and also irreplaceable healing potions.

System from EVE Online - It takes some time to complete a task in any profession, but with increasing gaming experience you can now give mercenaries more tasks at the same time. As a result, the time to complete them will be reduced, and if you leave the game, this will not mean at all that your character has stopped developing. Before leaving, you leave each worker with the required quest, and the next day you receive new armor. in addition, the experience and money he has earned, experience and money.

The Foundry Editor - Allows users to create their own quests and share them with others. You can create any missions, mini-companies - with battles, travel and riddles, single and group. While others are thinking about how to release patches, Cryptic, with the help of users, invented an MMORPG that is updated almost every day.

Unique location - Only a few days are left until a completely new location appears, to access which players will have to fight with each other.

Missions from players - a special interface has been created with information about the time to complete them, ratings, reviews. All tasks are built depending on the level of the Main Character, experience and rewards are also calculated for them. You can also, if you wish, donate a small amount to the best mission author to motivate him for a new creation.

Neverwinter is a shareware model - but at the same time you can live in the game without paying a cent. But if you still want to equip yourself with the latest technology during the leveling process, or get a horse before everyone else, you will have to unfasten your wallet.

This is such an interesting finish - Neverwinter, to which almost no one paid much attention, suddenly turned out to be almost the best online find of the first half of 2013. Instead of a banal “online toy,” the result was a largely innovative and thoughtful MMORPG. by Forgotten Realms

How to play Neverwinter online?

Neverwinter has a traditional IP address block, but it is only enabled during registration. Download the anonymous TOR Browser, install it, create an account with it. Then download and install the game client. The game is shareware.

If you play Path of Elixir, then by following the link - you can purchase orbs, which are so important in the universe of the popular MMORPG. Also, the service will absolutely not fool you, since there is a guarantor system and there are numerous customer reviews.

Preface: This article is intended for those new to the game. Neverwinter Online or travelers who have just recently begun their journey and contains general recommendations and opportunities for leveling up from level 1 to 70.

1. [A little ENT] What is Neverwinter( NeverWinter online)?

If you have never heard of the game series Neverwinter, then most likely NWO for you is just an MMORPG game from the MMO list. But if you nevertheless paid attention to the description or looked at the review, then you already know that, first of all, this is part of the Lore of the above-mentioned universe Dungeons & Dragons, which dates back to the distant 70s in the form of a fantasy board game, which in turn influenced the creation of a series of manuals, books, games, and the development of an entire cult universe with various fantasy settings. In NWO, all the action takes place in the vastness of the subcontinent of Faerun in one of the most popular settings called the Forgotten Realms. [The same world was used to create the popular role-playing game Baldur's Gate, whose fans, by the way, still play it and consider it one of the best games in this genre.] I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the books and information about the game/universe in more detail, and we Let's move on to the next blocks, which will contain more useful information about the game itself.

2. Start of the game, gradual development vs quick start

Before starting the game, you need to decide on the choice of leveling style from level 1 to 70. This entire period is original content, plot, dialogue, etc. that introduces you to the basic mechanics of the game and your class in general. We begin to engage in full character development closer to level 70, or rather immediately after reaching it, until this moment, there is absolutely no point in bothering with leveling up. The only thing you need to determine is the race that is best suited for your class, as it cannot be changed in the future, except by purchasing the Draconid Seal. You can read more about suitable races.

A: I love MMOs / Fan of the series B: Avid MMO player / Go straight to the top!

For you, the storyline is a priority, you do not chase instant success, but calmly and confidently enjoy the passage, gradually developing in the game.

In this case, you just need to follow the quest path, complete all quests, even minor ones, explore every corner and enjoy the game (for the time being: D).

You safely skip most of the conversations, the plot is practically uninteresting, the faster the maximum level of development is achieved, the better!

By choosing this approach, you can level up quickly enough; you should only complete the main story campaign, skipping mountains of text.

You will completely unlock all initial content (including knowledge/notes/titles and upgrade initial campaigns + gifts) Very fast leveling, 1-2 days to the maximum level with intensive play (below there will be a way to level up in a couple of hours with outside help)
You won't need outside help; you can reach your goal on your own. Character development occurs faster due to the availability of high-level content
Development will be quite slow, it will take at least weeks to reach 70 Unfinished campaigns, lack of some gifts/knowledge/titles, you will most likely need to return for gifts to close everything.

A very important point in both options is third-party help or factors that accelerate character development:

Do not forget to go through the battle and dungeon available to you several times a day in order to receive astral diamonds and process them into ab, which will be very useful to us in the future, also always pray on time and do not throw things out of your inventory just like that, most of them can be sold for gold that might come in handy someday.

If this is not your first character, and you need to get level 70 as quickly as possible, for example, for an additional seal artifact, this method of gaining experience on bears in the guild fortress is suitable for you.

You need:

  1. Access to the guild. As an option, join or create your own.
  2. Find a person who will kill them, the stronger the better, for example, ask someone from the guild to help. (I personally did this myself in 2 windows (not prohibited by the rules), with a character of only 9000 op, since I have several accounts, but in extreme cases, you can ask a friend or his account for a while).
  3. Come to the point, bind the desired character to yourself with the /follow command in the case of 2 windows, and run to kill during the respawn CD of the bear camp (poor bears: s).

Path and spawn places for bears, respawn time 1 minute.

3. The turning point.

After reaching level 60-70 in the game Neverwinter Online across the universe Dungeons & Dragons Many doors, locations, campaigns, development paths are opening for us, in general, new content in which it is quite difficult to survive. At this stage, you need to do a lot of things, the passage of a direct story campaign is almost completely replaced by repeated daily/weekly quests - daily quests that need to be completed in order to receive campaign resources, gifts and astral diamonds, do not forget to process the diamonds received for daily rewards and move further in character development by going through Sharandar campaigns and beater battles, at the end of which you can get a random artifact or a horse of even epic quality, or at least a cloak for 5% bonus experience, which will not be superfluous when leveling up from 60 to 70. If you haven't joined a guild yet, do so. At the time you reach level 70, you should have approximately 4500 oops, if you have not bought or upgraded things before this time, then first of all, you need to update your equipment in order to get a sufficient level of items (7500/8400) to enter epic dungeons, without this you will have fewer opportunities to get ab and items. Also, before this point, you must definitely read 1 of the game guides for the class you have chosen in order to understand the general meaning of the mechanics and the need for certain skills/stats/items and, if necessary, use the free retraining token. It is important to find a guide that does not rely on top things and objects, since at the beginning we simply cannot have them due to a number of reasons and not to chase the overclocking of the mighty, but to add at least several thousand penetrating damage to penetrate creeps, later when With a steeper upgrade, we can forget about it completely, but at first there should be several thousand penetrating damage.

Initial equipment, what to wear? There are actually many options:

After purchasing things and rings, you need to insert at least 7 stones into them, the cost is very low, and the bonuses already allow you to feel comfortable when passing almost any dungeon.

Artifacts: In addition to the initial artifact, do not forget to complete the quest to obtain the seal of your class; both seals should be upgraded immediately to blue, since the cost is again very small. Also, if you have a small amount of ab, consider buying a cheap artifact set of a belt/cloak/artifact, such as a lost, and upgrade them to blue. The necklace and belt will cost 10k and you should buy them right away, but the horn is a little more expensive, from 75,000.

Companions: First of all, you should buy an amplifier companion (list at the link), which transfers all its parameters to you and dress it in cheap things with 7 stones. The minimum cost in the case of quasit (20,000 ab) will provide a decent increase in stats at the initial levels.

Horses: One of the good first horses is the dun horse, worth 35k, and a bonus for the judge’s patience, the rest can be safely bet on any green ones, and insert the necessary blue/green signs on the sign bonuses.

Weapons: During the passage of the spiral citadel you will receive fiery weapons, to replace which in the future you can buy or ask someone to craft a howling/drowned set and upgrade it to blue. The auction price for such a set varies from 150k for 2 pieces, but the cost of crafting them is much lower, so always ask people in the chat/guild about crafting cheaper.

In total, in just a few days, provided that we ran through campaigns/dungeons/battles/fortresses and earned ab, we get a playable character with whom we can safely run through all the dungeons and feel confident for almost a meager investment. Finally, my personal screenshot of leveling up such a starting character in 1 day on bears: Alas, I already had the initial budget in the form of ingots and ab, and the ogma artifact fell on the first run on the beater, but I can farm 250k ab in a few days, even a week, gradually dispersing things for seals and rings and processing diamonds obtained from dungeons/battles will not be difficult, this is a slightly separate topic that I may write about later, do not forget to check collections for items and where they drop from, read current guides and browse the forum, but for now That's all, thank you all for your attention, and good luck!

The plot of which many city residents died as a result of plague and war is not canonical. Also known as the City of Skillful Hands and the Pearl of the North. This is also where the phrase "by the clock of Neverwinter" comes from, a reference to the accuracy of the city's clock. A polymath traveler named Volo, as well as many others, calls Neverwinter the most cosmopolitan and civilized city in all of Faerûn. Considering the size and population of the continent, this is indeed a good reputation. Neverwinter is cultural without being arrogant, loud without being greedy, and charming without being fancy. Its residents, as a rule, are literate, calm, well-mannered, skillful and hardworking: for them, the main thing in all matters is accuracy and punctuality. They respect not only the property of others, but also all their interests and what others need for happiness.

The city was named so (the name “Neverwinter” is derived from the English words “never” - “never” and “winter” - “winter”) because of the never freezing River Neverwinter, on which the city stands, although it is located in the cold north . This happens due to the fault of fire elementals living under Mount Houtenau in the Neverwinter Forest. The heat emanating from the river maintains a constant warm temperature in the surrounding area. Without the elementals, the river will freeze and, accordingly, the city's water source will dry up.

According to another legend, the city received its name when Lord Haluet Nevers, the founder of the city, was pursued to the coast by orcs. Having reached the place where Neverwinter now stands, Heluet decided that this would be the place where he would make his last stand. In anticipation of his imminent death, he gave it the name Never's Winter, but thanks to the timely arrival of his allies, he managed to survive, and then he founded the city of Never's Winter, which later became abbreviated to Neverwinter. According to the legends of local taverns, now the body of the great Lord Howlet Nevers, the founder of the city, rests on a stone slab in the Castle of Nevers, surrounded by naked swords laid with their points outward. The enchanted blades will attack anyone who does not follow the instructions written in the encrypted lines on the stone slabs.

In addition to its unusually warm climate, Neverwinter is a very beautiful city. Particularly beautiful are his skillfully constructed elegant bridges: the Dolphin, the Winged Wyvern and the Sleeping Dragon. Each bridge is intricately carved to resemble the creature it is named after. Below them, the waters of Neverwinter form beautiful small waterfalls. The Winged Wyvern is easily recognizable by its outstretched wings, which act as a perch for gulls and other birds during the warmer months, as well as a diving spot for adventurous youngsters. Neverwinter's wonderful gardens provide color during the warm winters and a harvest of fresh fruit in the fall. The city is well known for the products of its artisans: multi-colored glass lamps, precision water clocks and exquisite jewelry. And, most importantly, Neverwinter is also known for its elegant and stylish buildings. Many of them are famous in themselves, for example, the House of Knowledge - a multi-window temple of Ogma. Of additional note are taverns such as the famous Moonstone Mask, the Ruined Tower and the Drowned Flask.

The winding streets make it impossible to travel quickly through the city and pose a serious risk for visitors to get lost whenever they venture out of their homes, especially at night. On warm summer nights, celebrations in the streets are commonplace; otherwise, the alleys are thankfully empty.

Neverwinter features temples to Helm, Tyr and Ogma: Helm's Hold, Hall of Justice and Halls of Inspiration. After the restoration of the city after the Howling Death and victory in the Second Shadow War, the temple of Waukeen was rebuilt in the city near Castle Nevers ( Waukeen).

Neverwinter is now ruled by Lord Nasher, an aging veteran and devoted follower of the god Tyr. He is always accompanied by a group of personal bodyguards known as the Neverwinter Nine. The city occupies a high position in the Lords' Alliance. Lord Nasher provides the city with proper protection - both physical and magical. Neverwinter's main external threat is its warlike neighbor, the city of Luskan. Maps of the city, whose streets form a complex labyrinth, are inaccessible to ordinary people in order to complicate the work of Luskan spies. Neverwinter is home to many Harpers, as well as several famous dwarf craftsmen. Many good magicians have also made the city their home; among them is the Many-Star Shroud, a group of wizards who support Lord Nasher's throne with their magic. Some say that the real power in the city lies in their hands. The Shroud also produces explosive shells for the city's militia.

Neverwinter controls much of the trade in dwarven and gnome mining products, which reach the surface from the Underdark through hidden routes leading to several warehouses in the city. Fisheries are well developed, both sea and coastal. The warm waters around the city are rich in both shellfish and fin fish. Neverwinter has a well-developed trade in wood from the Neverwinter Forest. The key to Neverwinter's survival lies in its importance as a center of crafting, learning, and magical invention. In an environment of unusual diversity and tolerance, the city enjoys a respect for peace, law and order. This, apparently, gives artists and craftsmen the opportunity to concentrate on their work.

Story

Neverwinter was founded in 87 by the Illuskans as Eiggerstor. Neverwinter is the Chondathan translation of its Illuskan name.

306 DR - Year of the Fanged Horde. The Kingdom of Grimmantle in the lands of Mlembryn fell to the onslaught of the Thousand Fangs orc horde, which then fell on Illusk and Neverwinter. The horde was eventually stopped and dispersed by a mercenary army led by Grout Mharabbath, the "Knight of Many Battles".

457 DR - Year of the Unfurled Flag. The magicians Aganazzar, Iliikur, Presper and Grimvald found a School of Wizardry in Neverwinter and began taking students from all over Faerun.

611 DR - Year of the Normiir. The rampaging orcs of the Everhorde break from the Spine of the World, engulfing the North in war. Illusk and Iarlith lie in ruins, but the Leading Tower of Secret Knowledge has survived. Neverwinter survives the attack thanks to the help of Palarandask the Sun Dragon.

1081 DR - Year of the Disastrous Bauble. One of the Four Founders of the Covenant (a once-existing alliance of mages created to promote peace among the human kingdoms of the North and prepare them for future conflicts with the orcs) is killed when the Red Wizards of Thay kill Aganazzar during their attack on the School of Wizardry in Neverwinter. By the end of the year, the two groups are engaged in a titanic wizard war.

1302 DR - Year of the Broken Helm - Illusk is recaptured and restored with the support of Neverwinter, then renamed Luskan. The duergar under Illusk retreat into the Underdark.

Many years ago, the forces of Neverwinter were involved in a battle with the King of Shadows. None of those sent to the battle survived it, although the garrison of Fort Locke survived the attack.

In 1372 DR, the city fell victim to a plague called the Howling Death, a disease that resisted magical treatment and killed most of the city's population. A cure was eventually found, but the losses by then were catastrophic.

It was soon discovered that the Howling Death was simply a harbinger of war between Neverwinter and Luskan. Although the war was sponsored by the sarrukh Queen Morag rather than the Main Tower of Sorcery, the war (ended in stalemate by a brave adventurer known only as the Hero of Neverwinter) soured relations between the two cities even further.

Despite this, an uneasy truce between Neverwinter and Luskan was restored until a suddenly appearing mage of the Main Tower of Sorcery named Garius attempted to raise an undead army to conquer Neverwinter, ostensibly in the name of the Shadow King. But this time too, an adventurer was found who put an end to the plans of Black Garius and defeated the King of Shadows again and forever.

Unfortunately, the conflict known as the Second Shadow War severely damaged the economy of the Northern Sword Coast in the vicinity of Neverwinter, and its safety was called into question due to the deaths of large numbers of Gray Cloaks during the course of the war. This presented an excellent opportunity for an enterprising Samarakh trading house headed by a woman named Sa'Sani. Under her leadership, and with the support of a group of adventurers, the economy of the area around Neverwinter was restored by 1374 DR.

Army

Neverwinter maintains a standing army of 400 archers and spearmen. Their job is to protect the city walls and pier and patrol the High Road from Port Llast to Leilon, 100 miles south of the city. In peacetime, 60 soldiers from this garrison serve as city guards, 60 are on rest and convalescence, and 60 are engaged in retraining. If a threat appears to the city walls in the form of orcs or Luskan, the city's defenders use catapults to rain down a hail of exploding shells on the attackers. Both the shells and specially designed catapults were developed by the best craftsmen in the city. In a desperate situation, Lord Nasher can call upon the mages of the Multi-Star Shrouds guild.

Like everyone else in Neverwinter, the army's soldiers are efficient, calm, and dedicated to making sure their job is done properly. They are armed with spears, longswords, longbows, daggers hidden in boots and hand crossbows. The city guard has garrisons at the northeast and southeast gates.

Districts of the City

Strictly speaking, the division into districts is not canonical; it was introduced in the computer game Neverwinter Nights and then used again in the sequel. That is, within the setting there is no division into regions: many geographical objects and buildings that appear in the games have their prototypes in the world of the Forgotten Realms, but they are not assigned to any regions. However, Neverwinter is largely known thanks to its computer incarnations, so let's look at what the city is like in the games Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights 2.

The city of Neverwinter can be roughly divided into five different districts. Residents of these areas differ greatly in social status and status, wealth, prosperity, population and crime rates.

In Neverwinter Nights 2, continuity in terms of district divisions was broken, possibly as much of the city was destroyed during war or plague and rebuilt afterwards. In the sequel, only 3 districts are available to the player: the Black Lake District, which was rebuilt in the area near the Castle of Nevers, the Port District, which has not undergone major changes, and the Shopping District, which may be the remains of the City Center. If this is not the main reason, then the player simply does not have access to those areas that are not in the sequel.

City Core

Beggar's Nest

Beggar's Nest is a low-income neighborhood where most low-income residents live and work. This area consists of narrow streets and slums; it is the most populous in the city. There is a large cemetery to the south, and several cases of undead attacks have been reported in the area. Residents of the city who died from the plague are buried here.

Blacklake District

The Black Lake region is an area of nobles and upper classes. Some of the nobility are downright paranoid or snobby, and there are several cases where Black Lake residents have fenced themselves off from conflicts in the center of the district or elsewhere (by creating fenced-in areas). Almost all the houses are rich and prosperous, and the whole area as a whole is quite wealthy. Small rivers and decorative streams flow through it. The Black Lake Region is also home to the Neverwinter Zoo, where animals are not treated well, which sometimes leads to conflicts. According to rumors, in a large fortress-mansion in the Black Lake region, Meldanen, an elf sorcerer, lives under the protection of several guards.

Port Area (Docks)

The port area is where the crime rate is highest. It is essentially run by crime lords and thugs, with a thriving black market and frequent illegal auctions. To the west is the main port, many goods are easily smuggled, mainly because the authorities are not able to keep track of everything at once. This area is home to the Golden Apple Tavern and the local gun shop, Twenty in the Quiver.

Peninsula

The peninsula is a sparsely populated area, almost entirely surrounded by water. Because of this location, a prison was built here, generally secure, but subject to several prisoner escapes and uprisings. The prison is divided into 3 levels; a "regular" prison on the upper level; a buffer zone between the upper level and the "Pit", and the "Pit" itself - a well-guarded dungeon for the most dangerous criminals.

An excerpt characterizing Neverwinter

Denisov, biting his mustache, listened to the conversation with a gloomy look, apparently not wanting to engage in it. When asked by the captain's staff, he shook his head negatively.
“You tell the regimental commander about this dirty trick in front of the officers,” the captain continued. - Bogdanych (the regimental commander was called Bogdanych) besieged you.
- He didn’t besiege him, but said that I was telling a lie.
- Well, yes, and you said something stupid to him, and you need to apologize.
- Never! - Rostov shouted.
“I didn’t think this from you,” the captain said seriously and sternly. “You don’t want to apologize, but you, father, not only before him, but before the entire regiment, before all of us, you are completely to blame.” Here's how: if only you had thought and consulted on how to deal with this matter, otherwise you would have drunk right in front of the officers. What should the regimental commander do now? Should the officer be put on trial and the entire regiment be soiled? Because of one scoundrel, the whole regiment is disgraced? So, what do you think? But in our opinion, not so. And Bogdanich is great, he told you that you are telling lies. It’s unpleasant, but what can you do, father, they attacked you yourself. And now, as they want to hush up the matter, because of some kind of fanaticism you don’t want to apologize, but want to tell everything. You are offended that you are on duty, but why should you apologize to an old and honest officer! No matter what Bogdanich is, he’s still an honest and brave old colonel, it’s such a shame for you; Is it okay for you to dirty the regiment? – The captain’s voice began to tremble. - You, father, have been in the regiment for a week; today here, tomorrow transferred to adjutants somewhere; you don’t care what they say: “there are thieves among the Pavlograd officers!” But we care. So, what, Denisov? Not all the same?
Denisov remained silent and did not move, occasionally glancing at Rostov with his shining black eyes.
“You value your own fanabery, you don’t want to apologize,” the headquarters captain continued, “but for us old men, how we grew up, and even if we die, God willing, we will be brought into the regiment, so the honor of the regiment is dear to us, and Bogdanich knows this.” Oh, what a road, father! And this is not good, not good! Be offended or not, I will always tell the truth. Not good!
And the headquarters captain stood up and turned away from Rostov.
- Pg "avda, chog" take it! - Denisov shouted, jumping up. - Well, G'skeleton! Well!
Rostov, blushing and turning pale, looked first at one officer, then at the other.
- No, gentlemen, no... don’t think... I really understand, you’re wrong to think about me like that... I... for me... I’m for the honor of the regiment. So what? I will show this in practice, and for me the honor of the banner... well, it’s all the same, really, I’m to blame!.. - Tears stood in his eyes. - I’m guilty, I’m guilty all around!... Well, what else do you need?...
“That’s it, Count,” the captain of staff shouted, turning around, hitting him on the shoulder with his big hand.
“I’m telling you,” Denisov shouted, “he’s a nice little guy.”
“That’s better, Count,” the headquarters captain repeated, as if for his recognition they were beginning to call him a title. - Come and apologize, your Excellency, yes sir.
“Gentlemen, I’ll do everything, no one will hear a word from me,” Rostov said in a pleading voice, “but I can’t apologize, by God, I can’t, whatever you want!” How will I apologize, like a little one, asking for forgiveness?
Denisov laughed.
- It's worse for you. Bogdanich is vindictive, you will pay for your stubbornness,” said Kirsten.
- By God, not stubbornness! I can’t describe to you what a feeling, I can’t...
“Well, it’s your choice,” said the headquarters captain. - Well, where did this scoundrel go? – he asked Denisov.
“He said he was sick, and the manager ordered him to be expelled,” Denisov said.
“It’s a disease, there’s no other way to explain it,” said the captain at the headquarters.
“It’s not a disease, but if he doesn’t catch my eye, I’ll kill him!” – Denisov shouted bloodthirstyly.
Zherkov entered the room.
- How are you? - the officers suddenly turned to the newcomer.
- Let's go, gentlemen. Mak surrendered as a prisoner and with the army, completely.
- You're lying!
- I saw it myself.
- How? Have you seen Mack alive? with arms, with legs?
- Hike! Hike! Give him a bottle for such news. How did you get here?
“They sent me back to the regiment again, for the devil’s sake, for Mack.” The Austrian general complained. I congratulated him on Mak’s arrival... Are you from the bathhouse, Rostov?
- Here, brother, we have such a mess for the second day.
The regimental adjutant came in and confirmed the news brought by Zherkov. We were ordered to perform tomorrow.
- Let's go, gentlemen!
- Well, thank God, we stayed too long.

Kutuzov retreated to Vienna, destroying behind him bridges on the rivers Inn (in Braunau) and Traun (in Linz). On October 23, Russian troops crossed the Enns River. Russian convoys, artillery and columns of troops in the middle of the day stretched through the city of Enns, on this side and on the other side of the bridge.
The day was warm, autumn and rainy. The vast perspective that opened up from the elevation where the Russian batteries stood protecting the bridge was suddenly covered with a muslin curtain of slanting rain, then suddenly expanded, and in the light of the sun objects as if covered with varnish became visible far away and clearly. A town could be seen underfoot with its white houses and red roofs, a cathedral and a bridge, on both sides of which masses of Russian troops poured, crowding. At the bend of the Danube one could see ships, an island, and a castle with a park, surrounded by the waters of the Ensa confluence with the Danube; one could see the left rocky bank of the Danube covered with pine forests with the mysterious distance of green peaks and blue gorges. The towers of the monastery were visible, protruding from behind a pine forest that seemed untouched; far ahead on the mountain, on the other side of Enns, enemy patrols could be seen.
Between the guns, at a height, the chief of the rearguard, a general, and a retinue officer stood in front, examining the terrain through a telescope. Somewhat behind, Nesvitsky, sent from the commander-in-chief to the rearguard, sat on the trunk of a gun.
The Cossack accompanying Nesvitsky handed over a handbag and a flask, and Nesvitsky treated the officers to pies and real doppelkümel. The officers joyfully surrounded him, some on their knees, some sitting cross-legged on the wet grass.
- Yes, this Austrian prince was not a fool to build a castle here. Nice place. Why don't you eat, gentlemen? - Nesvitsky said.
“I humbly thank you, prince,” answered one of the officers, enjoying talking with such an important staff official. - Beautiful place. We walked past the park itself, saw two deer, and what a wonderful house!
“Look, prince,” said the other, who really wanted to take another pie, but was ashamed, and who therefore pretended that he was looking around the area, “look, our infantry have already climbed there.” Over there, in the meadow outside the village, three people are dragging something. “They will break through this palace,” he said with visible approval.
“Both,” said Nesvitsky. “No, but what I would like,” he added, chewing the pie in his beautiful, moist mouth, “is to climb up there.”
He pointed to a monastery with towers visible on the mountain. He smiled, his eyes narrowed and lit up.
- But that would be good, gentlemen!
The officers laughed.
- At least scare these nuns. Italians, they say, are young. Really, I would give five years of my life!
“They’re bored,” said the bolder officer, laughing.
Meanwhile, the retinue officer standing in front was pointing something out to the general; the general looked through the telescope.
“Well, so it is, so it is,” the general said angrily, lowering the receiver from his eyes and shrugging his shoulders, “and so it is, they will attack the crossing.” And why are they hanging around there?
On the other side, the enemy and his battery were visible to the naked eye, from which milky white smoke appeared. Following the smoke, a distant shot was heard, and it was clear how our troops hurried to the crossing.
Nesvitsky, puffing, stood up and, smiling, approached the general.
- Would your Excellency like to have a snack? - he said.
“It’s not good,” said the general, without answering him, “our people hesitated.”
– Shouldn’t we go, Your Excellency? - said Nesvitsky.
“Yes, please go,” said the general, repeating what had already been ordered in detail, “and tell the hussars to be the last to cross and light the bridge, as I ordered, and to inspect the flammable materials on the bridge.”
“Very good,” answered Nesvitsky.
He called to the Cossack with the horse, ordered him to remove his purse and flask, and easily threw his heavy body onto the saddle.
“Really, I’ll go see the nuns,” he said to the officers, who looked at him with a smile, and drove along the winding path down the mountain.
- Come on, where will it go, captain, stop it! - said the general, turning to the artilleryman. - Have fun with boredom.
- Servant to the guns! - the officer commanded.
And a minute later the artillerymen ran out cheerfully from the fires and loaded.
- First! - a command was heard.
Number 1 bounced smartly. The gun rang metallic, deafening, and a grenade flew whistling over the heads of all our people under the mountain and, not reaching the enemy, showed with smoke the place of its fall and burst.
The faces of the soldiers and officers brightened at this sound; everyone got up and began observing the clearly visible movements of our troops below and in front of the movements of the approaching enemy. At that very moment the sun completely came out from behind the clouds, and this beautiful sound of a single shot and the shine of the bright sun merged into one cheerful and cheerful impression.

Two enemy cannonballs had already flown over the bridge, and there was a crush on the bridge. In the middle of the bridge, having dismounted from his horse, pressed with his thick body against the railing, stood Prince Nesvitsky.
He, laughing, looked back at his Cossack, who, with two horses in the lead, stood a few steps behind him.
As soon as Prince Nesvitsky wanted to move forward, the soldiers and carts again pressed on him and again pressed him against the railing, and he had no choice but to smile.
- What are you, my brother! - the Cossack said to the Furshtat soldier with the cart, who was pressing on the infantry crowded with the very wheels and horses, - what are you! No, to wait: you see, the general has to pass.
But furshtat, not paying attention to the name of the general, shouted at the soldiers blocking his way: “Hey!” fellow countrymen! keep left, wait! “But the fellow countrymen, crowding shoulder to shoulder, clinging with bayonets and without interruption, moved along the bridge in one continuous mass. Looking down over the railing, Prince Nesvitsky saw the fast, noisy, low waves of Ens, which, merging, rippling and bending around the bridge piles, overtook one another. Looking at the bridge, he saw equally monotonous living waves of soldiers, coats, shakos with covers, backpacks, bayonets, long guns and, from under the shakos, faces with wide cheekbones, sunken cheeks and carefree tired expressions, and moving legs along the sticky mud dragged onto the boards of the bridge . Sometimes, between the monotonous waves of soldiers, like a splash of white foam in the waves of Ens, an officer in a raincoat, with his own physiognomy different from the soldiers, squeezed between the soldiers; sometimes, like a chip winding through a river, a foot hussar, an orderly or a resident was carried across the bridge by waves of infantry; sometimes, like a log floating along the river, surrounded on all sides, a company or officer's cart, piled to the top and covered with leather, floated across the bridge.
“Look, they’ve burst like a dam,” the Cossack said, stopping hopelessly. -Are there many of you still there?
– Melion without one! - a cheerful soldier walking nearby in a torn overcoat said winking and disappeared; another, old soldier walked behind him.
“When he (he is the enemy) begins to fry the taperich on the bridge,” the old soldier said gloomily, turning to his comrade, “you will forget to itch.”
And the soldier passed by. Behind him another soldier rode on a cart.
“Where the hell did you stuff the tucks?” - said the orderly, running after the cart and rummaging in the back.
And this one came with a cart. This was followed by cheerful and apparently drunk soldiers.
“How can he, dear man, blaze with the butt right in the teeth…” one soldier in an overcoat tucked high said joyfully, waving his hand widely.
- This is it, sweet ham is that. - answered the other with laughter.
And they passed, so Nesvitsky did not know who was hit in the teeth and what the ham was.
“They’re in such a hurry that he let out a cold one, so you think they’ll kill everyone.” - the non-commissioned officer said angrily and reproachfully.
“As soon as it flies past me, uncle, that cannonball,” said the young soldier, barely restraining laughter, with a huge mouth, “I froze.” Really, by God, I was so scared, it’s a disaster! - said this soldier, as if boasting that he was scared. And this one passed. Following him was a carriage, unlike any that had passed so far. It was a German steam-powered forshpan, loaded, it seemed, with a whole house; tied behind the forshpan that the German was carrying was a beautiful, motley cow with a huge udder. On the feather beds sat a woman with a baby, an old woman and a young, purple-red, healthy German girl. Apparently, these evicted residents were allowed through with special permission. The eyes of all the soldiers turned to the women, and while the cart passed, moving step by step, all the soldiers' comments related only to two women. Almost the same smile of lewd thoughts about this woman was on all their faces.
- Look, the sausage is also removed!
“Sell mother,” another soldier said, emphasizing the last syllable, turning to the German, who, with his eyes downcast, walked angrily and fearfully with wide steps.
- How did you clean up! Damn it!
“If only you could stand with them, Fedotov.”
- You saw it, brother!
- Where are you going? - asked the infantry officer who was eating an apple, also half-smiling and looking at the beautiful girl.
The German, closing his eyes, showed that he did not understand.
“If you want, take it for yourself,” the officer said, handing the girl an apple. The girl smiled and took it. Nesvitsky, like everyone else on the bridge, did not take his eyes off the women until they passed. When they passed, the same soldiers walked again, with the same conversations, and finally everyone stopped. As often happens, at the exit of the bridge the horses in the company cart hesitated, and the entire crowd had to wait.
- And what do they become? There is no order! - said the soldiers. -Where are you going? Damn! There's no need to wait. Even worse, he will set the bridge on fire. “Look, the officer was locked in too,” the stopped crowds said from different sides, looking at each other, and still huddled forward towards the exit.

If you can't beat the game Neverwinter or want to know all the secrets, then read our Neverwinter guide. We describe a huge number of things - how to level up, which faction to play for, how to earn money wisely and other aspects of the game. Neverwinter guide read on our website.

Guide for beginners

Neverwinter is an MMORPG created based on a duology of single-player games Neverwinter. And they, in turn, were created under inspiration from the board game Dungeons & Dragons. In this wonderful game there is a whole setting (game world) called Forgotten Realms, full of numerous secrets, riddles and adventures, and already in it is the very capital city of Neverwinter. A city where there has never been winter.

The game was created by a Korean studio Perfect World Entertainment, known for her work on the game of the same name Perfect World, as well as a dozen other wretched grinders unknown to anyone. At the moment, Neverwinter Online is the only game from this studio that can be played at all. In addition, it has an excellent built-in editor that allows you to create your own levels and quests!

Talent check points

One of the very first problem areas for a player in Neverwinter occurs when searching for a talent test point. When you start playing and visit the first cities, the “Choose a Profession” task becomes active in the quest log, next to the mini-map. For him to successfully complete this task, he must find that very point. It sounds simple, but there is one caveat. Neither in the task itself, nor from conversations with NPCs (non-player characters) does it become clearer where to go and what to do. So, what to do in such a difficult situation?

So what now? Where to go and what to do? The fact is that points are called chests, special chests with treasures containing resources necessary for upgrading skills and abilities. To open them, you must have one or more specific talents. For example, at the very beginning of the game, when you have only one talent, for example, “Dungeon Knowledge,” you will be able to open only those points, that is, those chests that require this particular talent to open. If such an event comes up, look for the chest you are looking for and check what talents you have and what you need, and if everything matches, the reward is yours! The branch of available talents is located at the very end of the skills menu.

Profs

Now let's touch directly on the professions for which resources from talent check chests are needed. Having reached level ten, your hero will be able to choose a crafting profession for his family. Decide in this way, say with your specialization. To do this, we press the “N” button and see a menu of available professions.

But there is also a little secret here. The fact is that the menu shows you only those items that you can make at a given, specific moment. But if you want to see what your hero, in principle, will be able to create at a particular level, then you need to find the “filter” column, select it and uncheck the “hide tasks of a higher level” line and voila! You will be able to see all the items that you can create, even at the highest levels!

So before you finally decide on a profession, carefully study all possible recipe options, examine them carefully, and choose the most suitable profession for you.

There is another secret related to the crafting menu of the chosen profession. Many players complain that the menu is full of nonsense and garbage and you can’t do anything sensible yourself, just buy. But it is not so. Once every hour of real time, recipes for rare and sometimes even mythical equipment, such as armor, weapons, items and talismans, appear in the menu. Be patient, hope for luck and check the menu often, maybe something good and epic will appear.

How to increase the level of a Person?

Persons also cause a lot of misunderstandings. The fact is that the player character does not sew chain mail and does not forge swords on his own. This is done by a special NPC, called a person in the game. A person also has a level and must be upgraded. Some rare recipes require a person to be at least a certain level. But how do you get a pumped-up person? Everything here is actually quite simple. If you devote your hero to only one crafting profession. For example, if you only forge chain mail, you will gradually gain experience in crafting in the creation of chain mail. And having reached the seventh level (it will take a long time to level up, and sew several hundred chain mail) - you will receive a special recipe for creating a person. Having created four personas of the first level, you combine them into one and get a person of the second level. And so on. You do all this according to the scheme described above, acquiring more people. The higher the level of your person, the more and, much more importantly, the better recipes will be available to you. Take this into account and regularly increase your person’s level.

However, prepare as many resources as possible in advance, because creating personas, and especially pumping them up, is quite a costly undertaking, both in terms of game resources and time. To create 4 first-level personas and combine them into a second-level persona, you will have to spend about 20 hours of real time!

Do you need a bag with gems?

This is also a very difficult question. At game auctions, a bag of gems costs a fortune and helps the player gain more experience and level up faster. However, it is clearly not worth the money. The bag can be dropped from mobs or bosses in dungeons or simply in locations, but the chance of this item falling out is simply minimal to the extreme. Less than one percent chance.

You can, of course, accumulate gold for a long time, go to the same dungeons forty times and clear them out to the last coin and end up buying a bag after a week, but you still shouldn’t chase experience so much, and you should level up your character gradually. And spend the saved money on weapons, armor and consumables (heals, potions that restore mana, and so on). Even if you get a bag during the game, it’s better not to keep it, but to sell it at auction. Gold will be much more useful later in the game.

Crafting resources. Where to get?

Once your hero has collected enough resources from dungeons, he won't be able to simply make the item he needs. First you need to get special equipment. Awls, anvils, hammers, charcoal, thread and other useful items. You can find them at the city market from different sellers. Almost in the very center of the city there is a market square, on which stands a tanned girl with a pleasant figure and a menacing face. She is dressed according to the eastern canon in a purple outfit, believe me, you won’t confuse her with anyone. It is from her that you can buy the most common and basic resources for the profession. It is these that we will be riveting objects at first.

However, in addition to this, there are also more rare and expensive resources. They can either be bought on the in-game market from other characters, or knocked out from monsters and bosses in dungeons. The rarest resources and items necessary for processing can only be obtained in battles with bosses. You can't buy them. Each player who has such resources keeps it for himself, because it is these resources that will allow him to create epic armor and the best weapons!

Rune stones (Pebbles)

When visiting the first dungeons, many players knock out runes or, as they are also called, rune stones, or as the players themselves often call them, pebbles. Having received a “pebble”, players sometimes do not understand for a long time what to do with it and where to point it. The game again doesn't explain this. Which is very strange. Did they even have a person who worked on manuals for players?

In general, the hero himself does not need the stones; he has nowhere to insert them. They are endless for leveling up your pet (mount). By level 10-15 you will probably be able to get yourself a mount and after the animal is saddled, a new tab will appear in your menu and it is in it that you add “pebbles”. They enhance certain aspects of your performance. He will be able to run faster, become more durable, and acquire special skills. Thus, rune stones are a very useful thing and can have a very serious impact on the game. Don't throw them away or sell them. Many people do this at first, but having finally received a pet, they can no longer properly pump it up, because all the runes have already been auctioned off. And they have to spend hours, or even days, or a lot of gold, either to buy them back from the auction, or to clear out a dozen dungeons for the rare chance of a drop (falling out of a killed monster) of stones.

Moreover, there are two types of stones. Ordinary and magical. Ordinary “pebbles” have a bonus to only two characteristics, but magic ones, which are much more difficult to obtain, give an increase to three indicators of your mount at once!

And, of course, there is also a nuance here that is difficult for novice players to understand. Sometimes you insert a gem into armor or a weapon, only to find a gem of a similar type, but better. That is, the first stone was, for example, “Strength +1”, and you found “Strength +2”, but the problem is that the socket (hole half the stones) in the object is already filled? What to do? You need to find the line in the item menu - extract the gem. Click on it, pay a certain amount in game currency and again receive an empty item. And you can insert a new stone into it. Just keep in mind that depending on the class and item, not everyone will receive bonuses from the stone; this is written in detail in the armor description, so watch this point carefully. For example, you might have an azure stone that gives a bonus to experience gained from killing monsters, to armor, and to critical strike. But by inserting it into the paladin's brass armor, you will only receive a defense bonus, and other bonuses will not be received.

Moreover, if the armor, for example, was created to match yellow stones, then these are the ones that need to be added. If you add, for example, a blue stone to an armor socket under a yellow stone, then the bonus will be reduced by more than half. And instead of a bonus of a thousand points, we will get a little more than five hundred.

Stones of Power

Another constant question for newcomers is where to find power stones. Gems can be pumped up to improve the characteristics of equipment, and the pumping ceiling is five levels. But if you use the power stone, you can increase the level of the item up to the sixth level! To do this you need to find these very signs. Sometimes they drop from bosses and mobs, but very rarely, a much more reliable and guaranteed option is to buy them from the secret store. This is done like this - use an astral diamond, you find yourself in a special shop where you can buy stones of power and scrolls of recognition (the same useful thing that helps you get more bonuses from an item).

That's all. I hope you have received the answer to your question and the process of playing Neverwinter will be clear and will not cause misunderstandings.
