Therefore, despite the external simplicity of the everyday service, in the Orthodox liturgy there is hidden, coiled, so to speak, a divine spring of great meaning. Such a powerful spring that if it unfolds in the space of the world, then it connects everyone, gathers everyone “from all ends of the universe” to Christ. She will never run out of plant. She is eternal. And everyone, to the best of their ability, can feel and perceive this mysterious mental spring. Therefore, secret prayers and reducing the time of serving the liturgy began to be done in this way, not because God gave a spiritual head start to the weak, less gifted and lazy, but because He chose the universal human path for everyone, along which both the weak and the strong follow.

The Church agreed to an outwardly simplified arrangement of the liturgy, so that all the people of God would take part in it. So that the liturgy is liturgy. After all, the word “liturgy” is translated from Greek as a common cause. Therefore, secret prayers today are read not secretly, but quietly. The priests read them in the altar in front of the throne, sometimes silently, and sometimes loudly out loud, so that all parishioners hear the secret prayers. But this is most often done by experienced shepherds, such as Archpriest Vladislav Sveshnikov or Archpriest Alexey Gostev, who serves on Nikolina Gora. How does this happen? First, the choir sings a chant, then the priest reads a prayer. The liturgy is lengthened by 15-20 minutes. This is not much, but the point is that the decision on how to read secret prayers out loud or silently cannot be decided by an individual priest. The Church can only make a decision collectively. Most likely there will be no return to the former loud tradition among the priests. Most will continue to read to themselves, but here and there in a church where the parish is friendly, small, rural or regional, or, on the contrary, well-known, well-maintained by many generations of parishioners, where the parishioners are spiritually experienced and it will not be difficult to allow the introduction of ancient practices, then you can take a blessing from the dean, from the ruling bishop, and in the simplicity of your heart, read secret prayers out loud, not considering that you are doing something special in this life, that you are carrying out some great spiritual feat.

Having lost contact with nature, planetary consciousness, ancestors, angels and Heaven in general, people have also severed their connection with God. It is through the angels, Saints, Supreme Lords and the entire Heavenly Host, which governs life on Earth, that we are connected with our Creator. Moreover, the Holy Heavens help us in worldly affairs, help us to comprehend God and our own divinity, to live in peace and harmony with all life in Heaven and on Earth.
Incorrectly set priorities led to an emphasis on pleasure, wealth and power and, as a result, to the development of accompanying qualities such as greed, envy and fear. It is from them that selfishness, vanity, aggression and false self-confidence grow. When the bubble of illusion bursts, crisis and disappointment ensues, which results in the formation of uncertainty about oneself and the future, and from all this - illness, degradation and all life's problems. The totality of all this gives rise to fear, fear leads to aggression, envy and a blind desire to protect oneself in the future, which gives rise to greed and focusing on one’s own problems. Thus, the circle closes and everything repeats all over again, albeit under different circumstances. And so - from year to year, from life to life - the noose tightens, the rope of attachments thickens and acquires more and more new karmic knots.
At first glance, the situation is a dead end, but this is only at first glance. There are no hopeless situations; there is always a way out of even the most confusing maze. Unfortunately, there is one “but”: we no longer have time to look for a way out of the labyrinths of our problems. Therefore, the only, correct and shortest way is up. We need to ascend in our spirit and from above new horizons and new promised lands will open up to us, to which we can be transported at will, having previously chosen the desired oasis of new perspectives.
But how can a person, burdened with sin and ignorance, dulled by his own madness and everyday problems, do this? No way. He will never be able to do this without outside help.
And this help cannot come from a person who, just like him, is entangled in the labyrinths of life’s problems and attachments. It can only come from Heaven, from angels, Saints and the Grace of God, who will guide us to the path of salvation, create favorable situations, remove the burden of our problems, or themselves choose a person who will help us.

But how can we revive our own “bird of happiness of tomorrow”, how can we make it so that it lifts us above the labyrinths of life in which we are confused and mired in the quagmire of problems?
For this there are six elixirs from the sources of Living and Dead water. Dead water is applied to everything that must perish, including illnesses of the soul and body, sins and delusions, as well as everyday problems. And these elixirs are Awareness, Repentance and Faith.
People need, first of all, to realize the reasons for their problems, their departure from the right path, their fascination with the world and their formal attitude towards God. It is this formal attitude towards God that creates the illusion of piety and the right image lives that are not confirmed by deeds. But God and the angels cannot be deceived by ostentatious piety or religious fanaticism; they see fear and selfishness in the hearts of supposedly believing parishioners, and therefore do not help. When real help no, doubts and disbelief arise, and mistrust, and hope in one’s own strength and the will of chance. Awareness of this soap bubble will certainly lead to regret about what has been done and repentance.
“Repentance” translated from the Greek original gospel text means “turn by 180%.” In other words, awareness and repentance lead to the decision to put an end to the past and completely turn away from it in the opposite direction, that is, towards righteousness and towards God.
Faith will help you attract the help of angels and the Grace of God. It will help you endure the temporary difficulties of restructuring and transition from the old to the new. Faith will also pave your future path, making it even and smooth. These are the three healing elixirs.
Now the “bird” needs to be revived and we will need three elixirs from the sources of Living Water - the elixirs of Prayer, Meditation and Love.
The Apostle Paul says, “The love of God casts out fear,” and fear creates uncertainty, doubt, mistrust, hopelessness, greed and hostility in its various forms. It is not surprising that such a bouquet turns our life into hell, in which there is no place for God, love, or happiness, and even more so there is no trust in God and His help.
But notice that Paul states that love casts out fear, and the word “casts out” is in the present tense. He does not tell us to “hope”, there is no phrase “may cast out fear” that speaks of an uncertain future. He speaks in the affirmative form of the present tense, which means that as soon as love manifests itself, fear will disappear instantly, and with it all its creations and life problems associated with them.
But it is not enough to experience the bliss of love in a short time, because, returning to their previous state, all the clouds will stick to us again. What to do?
Once again we see a clue in his teaching. He tells us to warm up and fuel the Love of God. To reheat means to put a cold vessel on fire, i.e. to reunite our frozen heart with the Divine Light. This reunification occurs through reading books about God, thinking about God and Divine principles, but most of all through meditation and prayer.
Thus, to revive our “bird of luck”, three elixirs are needed - Wisdom, Meditation and Prayer, and this should become a rule and a way of life. Only through a consistent lifestyle, and not through occasional bouts of piety or moments of despair, will the Love of God come to our hearts. And this means the end of all problems, and what problems can there be when you completely trust God! How can He abandon those who completely rely on Him?! Problems arise only when a person is alone with the world of Darkness, without protection, without strength and without a wise and correct vision of the situation. It’s not for nothing that the Old Testament says:
“What the wicked fears will befall him, but the desire of the righteous will be fulfilled.”
But when we are in union with God and under the protection of the angels and His Grace, then the soul is in joy, and the mind is in clarity, and everyday difficulties are no longer perceived as an insurmountable problem.
Several thousand years ago, King David taught these truths to his subjects, he said:
“Submit yourselves to the Lord and trust in Him, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord and trust in Him, and He will accomplish it. From the Lord is salvation for the righteous, He is their protection in times of trouble; and the Lord will help them and deliver them; He will deliver them from their misfortunes and save them, for they trust in Him.”
Millennia have passed, but the Truth remains unchanged, and Sathya Sai Baba reminds humanity of this:
“When in difficulty, pray before you take any step! People give you advice only to the best of their ability. Only the Lord will turn your ignorance into intelligence and lead you out of the dead end. Ask the Lord and He will answer you!
…Prayer and meditation are the means by which you can “force” Divine Grace to manifest itself in the manner that you have chosen.
Pray before starting work, during work and after finishing, so that the ulcer of selfishness does not nullify all your efforts. Prayer reveals the secret of life; prayer is successful when thoughts are pure. Meditation is the royal road to liberation from bondage, although the same fruit is achieved through prayer.”
Thus, the three elixirs - Wisdom, Meditation and Prayer are vital to being in love and harmony and to attracting the Holy Spirit. It is the attraction and consolidation of the channel of Grace of the Holy Spirit that will create a favorable environment into which angels and saints can enter, which means that our lives are now under the protection of the Forces of Light. This also means the end of our problems.

But it is not enough to know which elixirs to use. You also need to know how to prepare them. So we'll look at each of them individually, but in this article I want to start with prayer.
So, what is prayer, what types of it are there and, most importantly, how and to whom should you pray?
Prayer is not something new; many people go to church and pray, but they make a number of mistakes. One of these mistakes is blind adherence to the dogmas of the church. It consists of blind repetition of canonical prayers, which leads to mindless repetition of what has been memorized. Of course, you need to start with canonical prayers, in accordance with where you pray - in church or at home. Canonical prayers are necessary, firstly, they help a person disconnect from worldly problems and psychologically tune into the frequency of the egregor. Secondly, like any ritual action, they open the door to the Spiritual world, into which prayers are proclaimed. In general, any ritual is a powerful flow that opens any doors in the Subtle World. And this property of ritual is universal. By performing a black magic ritual, you thereby open the doors to the world of demons and ask for help from them. By performing, relatively speaking, white magic rituals, you open the door to the World of Magic, where there are good and evil spirits. By performing a religious ritual, you open the heavenly gates to the World of angels, saints and teachers. Everyone communicates with those beings to the level of which his consciousness is developed, and consequently, the vibrations of these planes and beings correspond to the vibrations of his soul.
Thus, ritual is necessary as a mechanism for turning on and opening the channel. But the problem is that a person continues to repeat other people’s prayers, trying to introduce the meaning of his problem into their content. If we carefully read the prayers of saints and miracle workers, we will see that there is very little common sense in them. But nevertheless, these saints, reading these prayers, performed miracles. Why did incoherent muttering produce a miracle for them but does not produce any result for us?
The answer is simple: they prayed in their own words - in the best way they knew how, but the prayer came from a pure heart. It is precisely such sincere prayers that God hears, it is precisely such prayers that bring tears to the eyes of saints and angels. There is no magic formula, there are no strong or weak prayers, there is only sincerity, faith and a pure heart.
Sathya Sai Baba:
“Prayer must come from the heart, where God dwells, and not from the head, where doctrines and doubts clash. You must cry like a calf calling for its mother who has gone with the herd, like a child who has lost its mother. You must cry out like a chaste woman who has lost her husband and is groaning from the pain of separation. You must cry out just as childless parents cry out and pray to God to give them a child. This is how you need to pray to God - with a heart full of devotion and thirst, the desire to realize His presence, His Mercy and Power. One moment of concentrated heartfelt prayer can appease God.”
No dull muttering of canonical prayers, especially in “gibberish,” can convey your feelings, suffering and prayer. Therefore, one’s own concentrated and sincere prayer is the main condition for turning to God.
This is the first condition.
The second condition is specificity. No general phrases. Before you ask for anything, clearly state your request and think through the details. Then put the request into prayer form and only then begin to pray. The same applies to preparing for confession. Do not repeat after the priest what you do not consider a sin. Repent only of what you have realized, what you sincerely repent of, and what you really want to get rid of. Call sin by name, do not disguise it under a more loyal form, because by doing so you are hiding it, and they are hiding what they do not want to give away.
The third condition is sacrament.
From Matthew:
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, who love to pray standing in the synagogues and on street corners, so that they may appear before people. Truly I tell you that they are already receiving their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room and, having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly.”
No showing off. Don’t buy candles for all the saints, don’t lick icons, don’t bow and cross yourself less - this won’t help. Focus on prayer and sincerity. When entering the temple, cross yourself, but do not do this by mindlessly bowing to the building, but greet the Angel of the church, say: “I greet the Angel of (such and such) the temple and all the servants of God in heaven and on earth.”
The fourth condition is prayer out loud. In fact, this condition is not as mandatory as the others, but it is advisable to fulfill it. In church, pray in a whisper, at home - in a full voice. And this is why prayer spoken out loud is more effective. This is a kind of symbol of faith. Of course, Heaven will hear your prayer, even if it is said mentally in compliance with the above rules. But when you say it out loud, you seem to proclaim it into the Spiritual world for everyone, including the devil. The fact is that demons cannot hear our thoughts, but they hear words perfectly well and can read our emotions. When we pray mentally, they understand that you are praying, but they do not know what. The proclaimed prayer has more power, since you do not hide your faith in God and His help from the devil, you are not afraid of the forces of evil and know that God will not allow them to interfere in your life, you seem to ignore them and thereby completely trust God .
Fifth condition. No “if it be Your will” or anything like that! No “ifs,” no “maybes,” no “I hope, etc.” Only words of faith. Because “if”, “maybe”, “hopefully”, etc. - these are words of doubt. If it is Your will, then I will receive it, and if not, I will be left with nothing, including without faith and trust. And in general, if you are not sure that what you are asking is in accordance with the law and the will of God, then why ask for this abomination at all? And if you are confident in the legitimacy of your request, then what can be “if it be Your will”? It already exists, because corresponds to the law created by the Will of God.
The word "may" is also ambiguous: it may or may not be. “Nadezhda” also suffers from uncertainty: “I, of course, am not sure that this is possible, but I hope it will happen.” Any doubt is distrust of God and Holy Heaven.
Sathya Sai Baba also reminds us that there should be no doubt:
“Some people often have doubts. Will the Lord satisfy all requests in our prayers? Or He may only give us what He thinks we need or deserve. Will the Lord want to give us everything we ask for when we pray to Him? If this is the case, then what is the use of prayer? Why then prescribe this spiritual practice at all? Of course, all these are delusions of the human mind. Prayer awakens the heart of man and evokes the mercy of the gods. The practice of prayer and the miracles associated with it are known in all religions of the world. For thousands of years, this practice has been practiced by everyone from commoners to kings, saints and sages. And there was always only a positive result.”
And finally, the sixth condition is unanimity. I want the reader to carefully read the quotation I have given and think carefully, especially about the highlighted words of Jesus.
From Matthew:
“Truly I also tell you that if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven, for where two or three are gathered in My name, there I am in the midst of them. Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven; and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”
Jesus clearly states that we can achieve 100% results by praying together with one accord. When a problem arises, it is unlikely to affect one person. It doesn’t matter whether it concerns some psychological, spiritual or age-related crises, whether it concerns finances, debts or self-realization, illness or relationships. No matter who or what the problem is, it will definitely affect the family and loved ones. Therefore, Jesus recommends that everyone involved with a particular problem gather together at one time and pray for a solution.
This practice is used very rarely, if at all. At best, everyone prays on their own in different places, in different time And different prayers, forgetting the main condition: “if two of you agree on earth to ask for anything, then whatever they ask will be done for them.” In the worst case, a person who already has problems is attacked by everyone at home with accusations and reproaches, which greatly aggravates the problem of any kind. Instead of understanding, compassion, psychological support and joint passionate prayers accusations are proclaimed into the Spiritual world.
Therefore, reproaches and accusations, moreover, spoken out loud, refer to prayers of accusation, for which the accused is punished. And since the devil is the main accuser of humanity, the forces of evil will never miss an opportunity to torment the accused; moreover, in fact, they are asked to do so.
Thus, instead of support, unity and joint prayers, the accusers, without knowing it, call on the forces of evil and thereby tighten the noose around the neck of the unfortunate person and do not allow a new wave of updates to enter their lives. The situation gets worse, the accusations intensify, and negative energy flows like a fountain, feeding demons and serving as a feeding trough and bait for new ones. Thus, the demonic principle of “divide and conquer” sows anger, chaos and suffering and fully justifies itself and the strategy that has been used for thousands of years in relation to ignorant people who have lost their vigilance and faith.
And one more condition: this is constancy and perseverance. By this we seem to confirm the seriousness of our intentions and the importance of what we are asking. You need to pray every day and not while running or in transport, but on a chosen day. convenient time, without fuss and distractions.
You also need to pray until your request is completely fulfilled. Perhaps the time will drag on, because... It is not yet time for you to receive what you ask for, or perhaps the Lord has prepared something more for you and this more requires more time. And never become discouraged and do not lose faith and determination, and you will certainly receive what you ask for, and perhaps much more and better.
“A shining face, a sparkle in the eyes, a firm look, a pleasant voice, a noble appearance, sincere benevolence, kindness - these are signs of growing faith and the will to know God” (Sathya Sai Baba).
And one more thing: encourage your family to pray together and never discuss your prayer needs with people who are not involved in your problem, with pessimists, doubters and unbelievers.
“Only an ascetic can comprehend God; Only God can understand an ascetic. Others cannot understand. Therefore, do not discuss your relationship with God with those who do not worship Him. Such talk will only shake your faith” (Sathya Sai Baba).

Prayer is an act of cleansing our world.
Ancient traditions suggest that the action of prayer is associated not with the words spoken by those praying, but with something else. Perhaps this helps us understand why many people, despite constant prayer, lose faith. The fact is that after the Bible was edited in the 4th century, what lay at the basis of the language of prayer was lost, only the words themselves were preserved. Subsequently, many became convinced that the power of prayer lies precisely in the utterance of words. However, the revelation of texts dating back to more ancient periods reminds us again and again that in the very combinations of vowels and consonants there is no magical code that opens the door to other dimensions. The secret of prayer is not in words of praise, not in recitative, not in the measured repetition of all kinds of “let it be,” “let it come.” Scrolls Dead Sea they clearly say that the main thing in prayer is intention, for if words are pronounced only with the lips, they are a dead hive that will not yield honey.

Feelings- this is the key to prayer, since only a feeling can resonate with the world around us.
Through communion with the elements of the world we gain access to greatest secrets, as well as the ability to “see the unseen, hear the unheard, speak the unspeakable.” In its purest form, prayer has no external expression at all. The prescribed sequence of words handed down to us by tradition serves only to evoke in us certain experiences that can bring us into a state of harmony with the world around us.
Without the energy that gives life force to prayer, thought remains an empty wish. For a thought to gain power, we must give it energy. Perhaps this is the answer to the question why our prayers sometimes remain unfulfilled. If we do not have the power to translate our prayers and requests into reality, they continue to exist only potentially - as empty, albeit good wishes.
The power of our desires is given by the ability to experience emotions. We can choose which emotion to feed our thoughts with - love or fear; However, in life it happens much more often that the motivation for our desires is fear. When we say “there is not enough money”, “there is not enough”, “we need more”, there is fear behind these statements.
Another secret of prayer is to live and feel as if a miracle has already happened, as if our desires have already been fulfilled. This secret is kept in the sacred texts and ancient traditions of the world. Now we are given the opportunity to implement this ancient wisdom into our lives; When praying, do not ask for something that does not exist, but give thanks for the fact that we already have it, try to imagine it, visualize it in the mind and feel it with the body.
Until you yourself enter into this image and begin to think based on it, it cannot be born.
While there is chaos and discord in your soul, your prayer and request will not be heard. Your desire will not come true in the material world.
